  • The Park Hyatt Maldives is without a doubt one of the most pristine islands we have seen in the Maldives when it comes to a stunning, uninterrupted reef and natural surroundings. We were so excited to finally experience one of the top Hyatt properties around the world.

    Park Hyatt Hadahaa is located in the deepest atoll of the Maldives, Gaafu Alifu in the south of the country. Due to its remote location and distance from Malé, Gaafu Alifu offers a number of properties that truly feel like you are on a castaway island. There is less boat and plane traffic than in some of the more populated atolls like Baa and Raa. Park Hyatt sits on a pristine and small natural island with a 360 degree reef that completely envelopes the island. When the property was built, the owners and developers managed to maintain the pristine reef by not digging out a channel for boats. This care for the reef and the age of the property have allowed marine life to flourish and grow over the years. From every corner of the property, you see dozens of sharks, large schools of fish and beautiful coral reefs blossoming.
    The resort features 51 villas and a 3-bedroom overwater residence. This boutique property is beautifully appointed and feels very intimate and small. The resort is split into beach villas and overwater villas. The beach villas are very private and enveloped by beautiful, lush foliage throughout. We were checked into a Deluxe Beach Pool Villa, one of the premier villas on property. The villa features over 2800 square feet of living space, including a stunning interior and even more impressive exterior pool deck.
    Park Hyatt has an incredible amount to offer in the service department. Every villa does have a butler who manages your scheduled events and activities, room requirements and anything else you need during your stay. We had a lovely experience with our butler who was always around in case we needed anything and she was only 1 minute away at any given time to pick us up or respond to any questions we have. The butler also handles your in-room check in and checkout.

    This is the absolute BEST review video of this hotel I have seen on YT. What a great format. Fantastic info. Considered and reasonable opinions. Very thorough. Great cinematography. My only request would be for some pricing info for rooms/points. How much were spa treatments? Snorkeling, diving, watersports etc? Avg restaurant meal costs? But again - the absolute best PH Hadahaa review video out there.

      Thank you SO much for your comment- we sincerely appreciate your feedback and support!!
      In terms of pricing, it's tough for us to say a hotel costs x since rates changes almost daily, however, I can definitely add pricing for activities and related things like that- at least ranges that account for price fluctuations. Great idea!
      Thank you so much again and if we can be of any assistance, don't hesitate to reach out!

      @VoyagerGuru Lovely, looking forward. By the way, I went to Taj Coral Reef and Ritz Carlton. Both were amazing. Ritz was just dreamy. My parents went to Taj Exotica and they loved it and I highly recommend visiting Taj Exotica, Hilton Amingiri, Grand Park Kodhipparu (affordable luxury) and Lily Beach Resort (recommendations backed by friends/family trips).

      @VoyagerGuru sure. Love your videos. And yeah I think you guys will love W also, Max being a merman. I hear house reef there is awesome. One suggestion: if you can cover Spa also in these properties that would be great, like covering entry, lobby and their flagship therapy room like you've covered in this one but usually isn't there in most videos.
      In eager anticipation of your next video. Cheers!

    Your video is amazing. I'm going to go to the Maldives for a honeymoon. If snorkeling and food were the most important, which resort would you recommend?

    • @VoyagerGuru
      @VoyagerGuru  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you so much, Anna! That is very kind of you to say!! We appreciate it :). The Maldives is a perfect honeymoon destination :). There are a number of incredible resorts that fit your snorkeling and food requirements and Park Hyatt is definitely a fantastic option due to the amazing, well-kept reef. Also properties in Baa Atoll are amazing thanks to the abundant sea life, like whale sharks and mantas. Two of our favorites there are anantara kihavah and Milaidhoo. If you need some help choosing or want to do some price comparisons, feel free to DM me on instagram or email me at team@voyagerguru.com and I'm happy to help! - xx Maren

    The video was very impressive, and I enjoyed it. How was your stay at Park Hyatt compared to the Ritz-Carlton Maldives? I'm considering two places for a family trip.

    • @VoyagerGuru
      @VoyagerGuru  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey there! thanks so much for your comment! Both are excellent properties overall. Ritz is a lot closer to Malé and I'd say, ideal for a shorter stay. since it's closer to malé, the sea life is not super great so if you are into snorkeling, this is not the best place for you. Park Hyatt is very south and harder to get to, but it is incredible diving and snorkeling on the 360 degree reef. Park Hyatt is older but the style is gorgeous and very midcentury. You can't go wrong at either, but it just depends on what you're interested in. By the way, we do get some great rates and perks at both properties so if you want a price comparison, feel free to email me at team@voyagerguru.com

    Thanks for the informative video! Is it possible to see whale sharks or manta rays here? My husband and I are looking for a resort to go to this Xmas and we are very much looking forward to see some sea life. Would you have any recommendations? Thanks!

    • @VoyagerGuru
      @VoyagerGuru  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      hi there! Thanks so much for your comment! Seasonally there are definitely mantas and whale sharks and anyone who sees them is sooo lucky. There is incredible sea life in this atoll in general. We have had a lot of luck in Baa Atoll seeing whalesharks as they spend a lot of time there. If you need any help picking a resort or want to do some price comparisons, let me know- we do have some great partnerships with perks and deals. DM me on IG or email me at team@voyagerguru.com if you are interested :)

    We booked recently and in the email conversation it shows that
    “As a valued Guest of Honor we would be happy to extend complimentary upgrade to the next category Over Water Villa (Without Pool) if available on the day of arrival. “
    So it’s probably next category will be over water without pool now.
    (Before the next category is beach villa with pool according to the internet)

    Do I need Globalist to be upgraded to the deluxe beach villa, or will Explorist work?

    • @VoyagerGuru
      @VoyagerGuru  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey there! When we were there, they only mentioned globalists getting that upgrade. Perhaps if there is VERY little occupancy, you may get lucky but I would not count on it. Pre arrival, you can ask for a points or cash upgrade though :)

    5:29 What kind of bugs are you talking about?

    • @VoyagerGuru
      @VoyagerGuru  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey there! Mosquitos are prevalent in the Maldives in general. They do fumigate but at some resorts it can be quite intense. We loved the bathrooms here at PH because they are fully enclosed so bugs are not an issue at all. Sometimes, the bathrooms are fully outdoors and we've had some experiences getting eaten alive in outdoor bathrooms in the Maldives

    I’d have to disagree with the location. While it’s certainly beautiful, it’s remote AF! Which makes you dependent on the domestic flight to and from Male (plus the boat ride). Even if the weather is fine, you might be asked to leave the hotel in the morning on your departure date (not fun if you have a late night international flight, which happened to me). Also, the villas are in desperate need of renovations. Many of the beach villas border on dank.

    • @VoyagerGuru
      @VoyagerGuru  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey there! Thanks for your comment! Honestly, any hotel with a seaplane or domestic flight is the same in terms of being a royal pain in the butt to get to. We have stayed at many hotels by seaplane and domestic flight where we have left at ungodly hours for no apparent reason. The beauty of the Maldives is that it is remote AF and the farther you get the better quieter it is :) it’s just definitely something to be aware of. I usually tell people that you want to stay within boating distance if your trip is less than 4 days because it’s just not consistent.
      Re the villas- did you do an overwater? They are a bit more tired on the outside than the beach villas but they seemed to be actively working on it
