Well I believe it’s time to have parents accountable for their underage children’s decisions to murder classmates, and injuring physically and emotionally especially buying/ giving them a gun and I get it, you want to have a bonding relationship with your teenage child but this backfire literally for these parents. It’s in my humble opinion the killers parents should be responsible in this case, so many red flags they ignored because of being self absorbed. My heart goes out to the parents and family and friends of those murdered by this kid. Jennifer and James left him alone and took off when he got arrested, Legit that alone is disgusting.
Lets hope that happens and you end up "accountable" for whatever your kids do. No matter what that may be and whether you know about it or not. This case is illegal in itself. This woman can actually sue the state of Michigan for wrongful imprisonment. I am an attorney and this trial is actually illegal at a federal level. The mom should be suing the state of Michigan for wrongful imprisonment. Because she is being scapegoated and jailed for a crime she did not commit. Moreover this trial has no real evidence against her, out of context texts, biased opinions and feelings have no legal value. This woman, no matter how much you may dislike her did nothing Illegal.
@CharolteeFerrarBreton, if my kids were the school shooter and if they killed anyone while driving drunk or whatever, I would definitely feel responsible especially if I gave them guns when they were underage and if they had emotional issues, Jennifer called Ethan weird and a Oopsie. And then she and her husband booked it and Ethan went to court without his loving parents by his side, I’m being sarcastic about that, but absolutely I would feel responsible and no matter what I would not have let my children go through the courts without support, even knowing that they are guilty. Put yourself in the shoes of the parents of the children who were killed and point blank to the heads of two of them, I’m sure they couldn’t have open caskets for their funerals, my sympathies are for the children’s parents and families and friends, Not for the shooter’s mommy who bailed on her only child. Regardless I’m not a coward to leave my children behind no matter the horrific consequences they cause. Jennifer and James had red flags 🚩 🚩🚩🚩 And unfortunately they ignored them. Anyway, I have adult children and I never bailed on them throughout their lives because I’m not selfish.
@@JaneDoe-tr5xy Interesting. JC testified her son worked 2 days a week. Was it under the table so there was no record? Was it the type of job that prosecutor did not consider it a real job? @@kerrycavanaugh4268 It appears I was wrong. We were told we could not hire anyone under 16 and I have never seen anyone under 16 working anywhere. I just checked the child labor laws for Texas and it says you can hire 14 and 15 year olds, but there are a lot of restrictions and paperwork to be filed to make sure employers are following the guidelines and stay out of trouble. Most of the employers here may just figure it isn't worth the trouble I guess. Anyway, it's legal here after all.
Mom didn't give her son the gun and tell him to shoot 4 classmates to death! This case is a miscarriage of justice. Mom is guilty of child neglect as she should have gotten her son the professional help he needed but not even his school's administration advised that Ethan was a danger to himself or others and the school had custody of him at the time of the crime not the parents.
She bought a mentally unstable child a gun. She then gets sent drawings that she was concerned enough to send to friends but not concerned enough to go home and check it was still there, or tell the school he had one. Why show her friends the drawings at that time? She had more important things to deal with like her son. showing friends should be the last thing on her mind, but it's all about her and her social circle first. She had important information she withheld from the school that could changed everything but she was too preocupied with her own life. She is guilty.
@@mellissaf3012 We are taking about a minor who should not have access to a gun. His parents were responsible to ensure the gun was secured. Not only that its illegal for a 15 year old to own a gun. No matter what you feel about what your child did, who leaves their 15 yr old child alone to face the court alone, to run.

@@CharlotteFerrariBreton you're not a very good attorney 😂
@michellenainkristinabusch1221 As if you would know anything. What you are is incredibly ignorant. That is actually more your loss than mine. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Getting this kid a gun was the last thing on earth he needed. Getting him help could have changed everything. 😔
Why did the judge allow that defense attorney to interrupt closing agreements? Good closing.
I think the school should be held accountable as well
Very good closing
If she would have just hugged her own child it would have meant the world to him

I started at 14 in NJ and it was legal in my state.

Apparently in Michigan it's 14, as long as they don't work with or near alcohol and they may only work 5 hours at a time. That is very young I agree.

I agree with you on this. Also the state didn’t have enough evidence to charge her with this to me right??
