It's always a dice roll. They're very finicky with their event gear. I'm still waiting for Kashino's exclusive cargo gear to appear anywhere so I can have one at all, and that event is over 4 years old and archived.

kind of hard to test but wonder how the percentages would change based on mob fleets; the AP round has a change to hit 2 targets and HE fire chance is so low it doesn't matter for cl/dd guns.
Jimmy, babe, let me stop you right there. WHY are we testing DD and CL guns on anyone that isn’t Foxhound? Like, I get it, you want your video to be 'balanced' and 'informative,' but HELLO? You’re missing the MOST important shipgirl in Azur Lane! Foxhound is the queen, the icon, the moment. She could be out there dodging torpedoes, firing off rounds like a caffeinated squirrel, and serving up sass while still looking flawless! Imagine the views, Jimmy! The raw content potential!
Instead, we're stuck watching ships that couldn’t carry Foxhound’s ammo crates in their wildest dreams. She’s the MVP, the main character, the reason this game even EXISTS. Don’t @ me; you KNOW I’m right. Get your priorities straight, grab Foxhound, slap some guns on her, and make the video WE ALL DESERVE. Call it 'The Foxhound Showdown' or 'Foxy’s Firepower Fiesta.' Off topic but is eldridge actually more survivable than laffey2?
I see people say she is but laffey always out tanks eldridge for me whether in exercise or in any other content.
It's more that Eldridge can make the whole vanguard tankier, so Eldridge is for when the whole vanguard needs to survive, while Laffey only tanks for herself, they serve somewhat different roles, but I believe that, generally, Eldridge has more applicable situations, even though Laffey II is still a great ship, she is the tankiest DD after all, making the whole vanguard tankier creates more flexibility for teambuilding, no need for a dedicated tank and then a subtank babying a squishier support or DPS when an Eldridge at the tank position can ensure that the other 2 squishy ships survive for the whole duration of the battle, while if that was Laffey II she would probably tank all the damage coming at her better than Eldridge, but whoever was at the subtank position probably sunk at the 30 seconds mark and a lot of potential damage was lost, and maybe even the ship in the middle also sunk.
Though if you're playing on manual, Laffey II might be the better pick.
@marisaordinaria good point I hadnt thought of. Thanks for the insight. In exercise I run the 'meta' comp and laffey is always the last ship no matter what so that skewed my view there.
Other content just don't hit hard enough for me to tell if the group survivability increase is actually doing more as usually my off tank never gets hit.
@ Yeah, last time I used Eldridge where she's unsubstitutable, outside of pvp, was in the Wichita META fight, though she'll probably be very prominent whenever Chapter 14 hard mode drops.
