Beautiful rendition of this dramatic scene. Reinmar's ringing voice is vibrant and his interpretation is most appropriate. Jochum's conducting is exemplary.
Just great...an admirable 'snippet' of Operatic History to add to ones collection. Mr. Reinman's articulation is really excellent. One of superior quality than 'far-most' of the current performers. Sad, that today's generation of Wagnerian Opera definitively 'LACK' the trained talent and talents of the past.
Truly fine articulation, by Hans Reinmar ... and one can appreciate/enjoy the camera angles of this performance, also! Nice to have a video of the EARLY work of Eugen Jochum, also. ... Thanks, Jozef ... although I like ("better") other examples of Wotan's "Abschied" ... from Georg Hann and others.
This kind of singing has long been dead. This is one of the great operatic clips on the Internet. Thanks for posting.
I agree, he is amazing :D it is so thrilling!!
Not in my studio. :)
who else dare to stand in the middle of orchestra, and the Berlin Phi...so inspiring, glorious.
Clear ring. Even tones. Sung, not shouted. Fine phrasing. Thank you!

It is definitely the best recording of this aria, gone are the days of singers like this one, I am in tears...
Ein großes Dokument
Eugen Jochum's daughter, pianist Veronica Jochum, is a professor of piano at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston.
C'est intéressant de voir M. Reinmar au centre de l'orchestre. Quelle voix puissante et belle! Avons nous une suite de cette vidéo?
non, regardez tous mes video Musikstadt Berlin.
Seems to be a much underrated singer - a very pleasant discovery.
I haven't words!
