I think the fact that most of us can't extrapolate what's the play MS/Xbox is going for releasing COD on GP might hint that they don't really know what they're doing as well. But here's 1 theory, when Phil Spencer said ALL 1st party games will be on GP, if he doesn't put COD in that service, he might open the company up for a law suit.
Except that's not his angle. CoD, Madden, NBA2K, FFifa, MLB & NHL all on GP is a big "HEY CASUALS, BUY AN XBOX!" sign. They are banking on 60-70 million PS4 owners looking at Xbox differently, & pulling in 20 million casuals from camp Sony. Maybe even 10 million PS5 owners sell their PS5 for an xbox. 30 million new gamepass subs is their goal, or however many is the target. Casuals only buy 9 games on average, most of which are sports & CoD. I say good riddance. Next gen Xbox might even outsell Ps6 because of casuals but gamers will still choose Playstation
@@Alien_isolationist No casual is selling their PS5, abandoning they're sub to PSPlus, spending $500 on an Xbox series X, resigning to Gamepass which over the course of a year is more expensive then just purchasing CoD. And then convincing all their friends to do the same. Instead of what? Just spending $70 again this year like they've always done.
Yea I think that’s pretty obvious at this point . I see wat nore risk than reward. If they undercut the sales of COD by around half. I could see all kinds of problems arising
So the greed is so bad , they are going to add a new tier with a bigger price just for COD , why aren’t people understanding we are about to be screwed
Yes, you know they’re gonna raise the prices to try and make back money on the game as much money as they spend on making this game game pass can’t make enough revenue for them to go positive. They probably make it so expensive that you just buy the game.
70 million Ps4 ownerrs, 80% of casuals, id say they could absolutely entice 20 million casuals with CoD & sports on GP for 300 bucks plus subscription
I don't see how people think gamepass is such a good deal. You spend hundreds of dollars a year, to rent games, you don't get to choose what you play, and if your Internet goes out or you cancel after paying hundreds of dollars, you have NOTHING.
You can go to GameStop once a month and dig through the bin and get games of the same caliber as 95% of the stuff on gamepass, cheaper, and own it.
Or if you're OK renting games,you get game fly,you pick and choose exactly what you want to play, no limits, and you can get physical games that don't rely on having Internet to get a game
Dang i bought 32 PS5 💿 in 16 months and people only buying 3 a year.....
How much more will they charge for cod on GP
no more because Xbox is going to gladly take Playstation peoples money when they buy it.

I see them doing a $25 day and date tier with ultimate staying the same price but not getting the day and date games for 6 months to a year later.
The highest will be 20 bucks more then likely
If you only play cod then no point of getting gamepas it wil Cost more then 140 a year
@@jessienbara casuals don't just play CoD they play Madden, Fifa, NBA2K, MLB & NHL & all of those are on GP too. If they Space all those out every couple months throughout the year, it's enticing for the casual gamer. All they're missing is GTA which is on GP on and off. If they put older CoD games on there then they have some incentive. For gamers that like other type of games then Playstation is the best route.
I had a playstation only thing I had really played was those games u named NBA 2k WWe 2k NHl MLB and cod playstation only had 1 players games like god of war last of us 1 and 2 horzion forbidden west I beat all them all them was 70 each that was alot I moved to xbox cuz I don't have to pay 75 for each game I can get it less on game pass for 16 dollars a month saved money 5 games for 75 is 375 that's alot for games I ain't doing that gamepass is better u get alot of games I sold my ps5

They would benefit more by putting all the older cod on gamepass with blàck ops 6 cuz like ya said, whats to stop them from playing for 2 months and canceling
CasualBox Series S going to sell like hotcakes in October for Black Ops 6 on Gamepass but thats OK let em jump ship. Gamers will still choose Playstation at the end of the day 9 times outta 10
Actually, most gamers choose pc. Almost 2 billion pc gamers.
Lol theres no chance theyre raising it from $17 to $30 people would rather just buy the games at that point

What’s gonna stop PC players just use gamepass just to get COD for free. Yea you might have a spike in gamepass but you losing 2 out 3 platforms where you losing that 70$
"Free". MS doesn't care where you play it. 150 million console gamers don't have a PC. I have a PS5, & could be enticed to get a Serkes X for exclusive 💿 if they had say, 10 games worth getting. Starfield, Stalker 2, State of Decaay 3, Perfect Dark, Gears 6, Gears Trilogy, Wolfenstien 3, could make me say OK I want an cbox for more games to play, as a gamer who doesn't fanboy, but as of now, only Sony has my intrest with Ragnorok, Returnal, Final Fantasy 7, The Last if Us remake & Stellar Blade, with Silent Hill 2 & Phantom Blade on my radar. I have no intrest in building a PC & always wanting to upgrade parts at high costs. My console collection holds a resale value, I can sell my Ragnorok bundle with say, 10-15 games, and SSD, & get 500 bucks easy, if I needed to. Game rooms are very valuable & come in handy at times.
So long as Phil sells gamepass that's all he cares about. He wants that 50 million + gamepass subscription at any cost. He's gambling his job on gamepass spending Bill Gates money

@@pixeljauntvr7774 OK but Phil's goal is obviously just that. It's like he WANTS gamepass to become an app & the console to disapear. And I qoute: "Exclusives don't sell consoles". No Phil, YOUR exclusives don't sell consoles. But on the flipside, maybe he's right. Maybe CoD with all sports games is what pushes casuals to buy a Series S, especially if they drop the price to $199.99. It's clear he's banking on gamepass, plus they'll make money putting it on Playstation as well. Maybe he is trying to get GTA on gamepass next? Sony will still be OK regardless if it's successful or not.
That’s why I said when they made this purchase, it’s more likely that this leads to the downfall of COD than it actually saves Xbox in any meaningful way. That’s not me being negative towards Microsoft. That’s just me reading the writing on the wall .
People acting suprised that cod is going to gp day 1 shows to me and been proving to me that nobody listens anymore they hear what they wanna hear. I already knew they was doing this last year how? Cuz they been saying this from the jump that ALL FIRST PARTY GAMES IS COMING DAY 1 but all these content creators wanna ask "is cod coming to gp??" and once Microsoft do it now they say "this is not good for business". Look im gonna play cod on gp and all the other games coming to gp this year. Yall can keep making videos to questions u already know for clicks all u want at this point cuz the whole share holder talk and profits margin talk when nobody here have any stock in it to have that discussion is getting old and boring tbh in my opinion.
I mean the whole point is GP will most likely go up since CoD is there, can't really ignore something that big that makes that much money now being on a sub. The whole thing is Xbox trying to pull more people in not people like you who are already there.
The fact it's still not on GP is why people questioned it. The acquisition isn't new.
@@TakaChan569I think they're banking on 20 million PS4 owning casuals jumping ship & buying an Xbox for Madden & CoD on GP. Still 60-70 million PS4 players havnt decided on their next upgrade yet & most are casuals. Gamers will still get a pS5 when more games come, while Casuals may shift to another platform & that's fine, games will still come to Playstation regardless cuz casuals don't really buy our games anyway.

Sony charges 3rd party developers 30% to sell their games on Playstation. The argument that MS will profit 70% simply isn't true, because MS is taking all the risk developing these games, after spending all this money acquiring the studios. They aren't profiting that much
I will stick with Steam games are allot cheaper and they have sales. In future will only subscribe when something nice comes up wouldnt pay for games pass all the time
COD make it’s money from Moro transactions
COD makes all its money back with day 1 sales. Microtransactions are just extra money.
I bet there is a Game Pass restructuring coming, and day-one releases will be in a very pricey top-tier. That way, they can save face that COD is coming day one, but they will gain more out of it that way.

Sure. The most successful annually released video game should go for free. Yep. People already purchase it at full price as well as purchase MTX and battlepasses. But yeah just give it out for free. You know what they say " if it ain't broke, break it."
I hear no talk about the profit they are going to make from Playstation, COD is gunna be $70 a pop on PlayStation and Microsoft is gunna make bank on PlayStation, no talk about PlayStation sales being down 30%, no talk about the failed PlayStation Portal, no talk about the failed PlayStation VR and no talk about about Xbox profit margins are higher than PlayStation right now... Why not ?
PlayStation sales are down 30% but no talk of how that is down because of previous record breaking sales, no talk of of Xbox are down 30% but from previous record breaking low sales, no talk of how PlayStation portal completely sold out and is still in demand, no talk of how Xbox has no vr at all, no talk of how Xbox are only up financially because of activision otherwise there financials would be in the toilet, no talk of how every bot gobble up every piece of misinformation they are feed as a coping mechanism.
Because this is very uninformed. Sony charges 3rd party publishers 30%, & to say mS is profiting 70% is also false because Sony takes zero risk while MS not only pays for the srudio but also each game to make them. The profit is far lower then 70%. Also, temporarily halting VR production doesn't mean anything. 2 million PSVR 2 headsets is actually really good in the VR industry. I expect a revised version or new bundles next year. If I'm wrong I wrong but I don't see VR as just over, not when they're still advertising games for it. Two VR games are in Sonys top 20 game best sellers now, Madison VR & Stride Fates. Metro prequel & Alien are both coming in 2024 for VR & those will be even more popular. Don't underestimate those 2 million VR fanatics, VR is next level gaming, you just don't know that, yet.

@@PeteSykes.1 I don't even play online games, I like Survivor Horror games like ResidentEvil, Alone in the Dark, Silent Hill etc, & Robocop & Terminator, Kratos 4 & 5, Final Fantasy 7, Stellar Blade, Atomic Heart, Outriders, Aliens, Returnal, but enjoy casual 👍🏻
