A woman was once asked, what do you "gain" from praying to God regularly?
She replied:
Usually "I don't earn anything" but rather "I lose things"
And she quoted everything she lost praying to God regularly.
I lost my pride.
I lost my arrogance
I lost my greed.
I lost my urge.
I lost my anger.
I lost the lust.
I lost the pleasure of lying.
I lost the taste of sin.
I lost impatience, despair and discouragement.
It's how God transform us little by little.
Sometimes we pray, not to gain something, but to lose things that don't allow us to grow spiritually.
Prayer is the channel that connects us directly to God.

I tell myself to stop it all the time, I learned it a long time ago at rehab, it's called thought stopping. I lived a lot of years in sin and it's like my mind is programmed to it, so every day is a battle.

We are to renew our minds daily. The job of the Holy Ghost is to lead us out of these issues.
I struggled for years ...? And then as soon as a wrong thought or temptation pops in I say I TAKE CAPTIVE THAT THOUGHT AND MAKE IT OBEDIENT TO CHRIST. Scripture sends the enemy fleeing! Wish I had realised ear.ier , but better late than never. X
Pastor you're so precious! We women have our lust issues/want issues too - for men/stuff/etc...I believe that's the HUMAN condition - always wanting...God showed me something years ago - "The Lord is my shepherd I shall not WANT..." - yes, that means I won't be in need...but He can take away the desire to not want what we don't have - and to be satisfied with what He provides and be content and THANKFUL!!
Yes, it comes in wave after wave for our family in the last two months. Knowing God is in control and is watching out for us that keeps me sane.
For women the top temptation is food. It was for Eve and it is for me (after the Lord graciously cleansed me of drugs, alcohol, and cigarettes). Please pray for me. I have been sexually abused and so it is hard to lose weight and get in shape because I do not WANT men to look at me (and they always do).
Good, Pastor Jack. Thanks. No comparison between being in Christ or being in this world. I've done both. I'll take Christ any day, even when the spiritual battles are tense and challenging. Learning to rest in Jesus is everything. Truly His yoke is easy and His burden light. Hallelujah.
‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord. *And* the number one way to to escape the trappings of sin is? (Drum Roll) Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. (Galatians 5:16) Thank you Jesus for your sacrifice and for sending us the Spirit that we can walk in it.

I love your tool analogy. My grandpa had a similar shop. Everything perfect. He believed in the army theory of Good housekeeping. A place for everything and everything in its place. And he kept everything nice and tidy. And he could ask me to go get a tool even whenever I was small, and I knew right where to go get it and where to put it back. And when I grew up he could ask me to go get a tool and I knew right where to go get it and where it goes back. He was a holiness preacher and boy, am I thankful for him. ❤️🙏

I love serving God as He has taken all my pain away, even though I ache and I’m now 65 it doesn’t matter. Paul asked 3 times for God to take the thorn in his flesh but He didn’t. His Grace is SUFFICIENT 🙌🙌🙌

Pastor Jack, Women have to deal with these same issues. TV, movies, adult clubs all cater to women looking at men as eye candy. For example, The things that are said about Rip & Kacey in Yellowstone are pure lust. What I love about Proverbs 1 is that mothers are included in teaching the law to their children. That means that in order to do this, they had to have been taught the law right along with the men (boys & girls both) in their early education. Women need to hear what men are dealing with so as to have helpful knowledge and discernment.

My struggle has been with dope (the green stuff) but God has seen me thru. It's in my face daily and as I can't pay a lot of rent, have no option but to stay here with my ex, an alcoholic, dope smoker & narcissist. But I know God will open another door for me and until then must cling to the Word & keep looking up and keep my light shining. God bless you & your ministry 🇿🇦

for over 40 years I have turned to emotional eating to Numb emotional pain and trying to numb emotions I did not understand.. and the result have been awful..weight gain and loose only to repeat the same cycle..this message has been an Answer to my prayers..now I can believe these scriptures and speak then when I am tempted.. WOW

It's not complex. It's all about your soul. satan uses Drops of sin add up to a pool that slowly becomes deep enough to dround in. Beware of what you watch, listen to, associate with. Step up and unplug from the matrix and your eyes will be open to this world. How many things have you wanted so badly but now are: lost, in a closet, garage, broken, rusted etc. Things you just had to have. Or people you just had to be around but continue to hurt you, bring you down or away from the glory of Jesus. Step up and represent. Don't let your children alone with their devices. Do Rememberance at home if you can't attend church. These are the times and the season is at hand. It's time to make a conscious decision; are you going to be faithful to the groom with your lamps full and bright or are you going to be left out and told "I know you not." watch Before The Wrath on pureflix or wherever.. Theres hope, Love, and a promise of a return to get us. Sinner to sinner. Laterally speaking: Stop cheating on Jesus. Peace.

Do you think women don't struggle with wondering eyes? Well they do and especially when her man doesn't keep his wondering eye in check.
I am struggling with family issues. Been caring for my Mom and her property. I have always been the blacksheep of the family but the one stepping up to the plate out of five kid's. The relationship is turning out to feel very unhealthy. My joy is gone. Struggling to recover and get back in the flow. Feel so broken, tired and defeated.......
