Svanetian Walks 2024

I and two of my old friends spent a wonderful vacation in the mountains of Svaneti. The journey consisted of two stages. The first one was from the village of Adishi to the village of Ushguli via the Kareta Pass, with visits to three glaciers: Lardaad, Shkhara, and Zaresho-Khalde. The second stage involved a transfer to the Koruldi Lakes, from where we hiked up an incredibly beautiful ridge near Ushba mountain, through the Gul Pass, to a mountain lake, and then descended to the village of Mazeri, followed by a visit to the waterfalls. The trek turned out to be incredibly heartfelt and comfortable in every way. I made this film primarily for those who participated in this journey, so that even after many years, we would have the opportunity to watch it and again plunge into that hot August and wash ourselves in that icy lake.
