    My wifey is the "interior detail specialist" so I start with the door/trunk jambs and move on to the wheels so she can do her thing inside. Then I do my pre-rinse, apc pre-rinse and snow foam/contact wash. It works well for us because she'd rather do the interior.

    Spectacular job Phil. Perhaps the first wheels off video I’ve ever seen of yours. Great looking car . I would definitely consider a Golf R as my next daily but I’m concerned about reliability

      Reliability on VW GTI/R has gone way up. Keeping up with oil changes & other maintenance is the key. I do a 6,000 mile oil change. They’re great cars. Also, most folks would be happy with just the GTI.

    Pad washers are great when the pad starts to get very loaded up a little more after use. But I have been blowing out pads for years and I never have had pad degrade because of air. I use a Torandor and it works awesome. I heard someone saying it degrades pads too but maybe from an off brand company. Jason Rose, Larry K, Kevin brown, Jim white (white details) never came to that conclusion either. Like you I have had Rupes pads for years and never any issues.

      @MirandaDetailing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yup. That’s why I found to be true also. I use all those methods to clean pads. Air, brush, tornador, pad washer, flavor of the day really.

    I normally spray my discs with bilt hamber atom Mac half hour before cleaning the wheels, and again once cleaned, seems to stop most of the rusting 😁

      Hi. Because it’s awesome! Lower profile and I don’t have a long handle in the way when working around the vehicle.

    Did I miss something?
    I didn't see the step where you used a clay bar or clay mitt it to remove the surface contaminants?
    Or did you just skip that step altogether?
    Also, I don't get it you did all that work correcting the paint and you didn't apply a ceramic coat that makes no sense.

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi. because of timing, i can't alway show every step. but usually we do use a clay mitt, towel, or bar to decon, and if it needs it iron and tar removal. as far as protection goes and using a coating, thats all up the customer, not me. Since we are a detailing business we don't do things without charging, so if the customer opts out of a coating, then thats up to them. We do plenty of polishing services and even paint correction services without coatings, If the customer doesn't want to pay extra for coatings, thats their decision.

      I hear you.
      Looks like you know what your doing.
      Maybe the owner wanted you to correct his paint so he could apply a ceramic coating himself, and didn't want to bother or was scared to do the paint correction himself.
      Those wheel spinners are cool, and make ceramic coating the wheels are Breeze.

      Thanks. Yeah we have been doing this for a long time. Many of our customers don’t want or need a coating. They want polishing and thermos good to go. There’s no right or wrong, just customer preference.

    Hmmm. My pre-wash. So far, it kinda depends. Shape of the car, coated or not, weather, that sorta thing. No 2 cars are exactly alike. And for sure I'm still experimenting.

    Hello Phil , What can I do if the customer is a walk in and shows up in person to schedule a service ? I don’t have a physical copy of the form so what do you do if they are standing in front of you and want to book I try to tell them I’ll send it to them to book and they want to do it in person have you dealt with this ? Also how long do they have until you schedule another customer on the day they wanted if they don’t get back to you right away with the form and someone else calls and wants that day? Do you have walk ins and how do they book while still filling out form please and thanks

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi. So you can print out a form and copy and paste what you want from it and make your own form to hand customers.
      mirandadetailing.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/Detailing-Acknowledgement-Form-2022-Word.pdf
      If they don’t book right away I only give them until the end of the day. I don’t hold appointments if they have not filled out my form within the day.
