a masterpiece indeed! harmonies are certainly on point 👏👏
Yes! Ola Gjeilo is so good - you should check out some of his other works
@@nickhiggsthesinger hi
Beautiful! It's nice to hear your baritone come out. And those times signatures 😵
Thank you! B1 is what I typically sing in choir :)
i wondered if those time signatures were for real
@@nickhiggsthesinger I'm jealous of the resonance on your lower notes - I sing b1 too and I bottom out at g# or so
What a ravishingly gorgeous piece!
Impressed that you hit that Bass2 B1 note at the end while being able to T1's G4 as well, thats a big range
Oh, I *loved* this!!! I sang it years ago with a small chamber choir and this brought it all back again. Thank you!!! 👏💞
My pleasure! So glad you enjoyed it and I hope you subscribe so you can come back for more
@@nickhiggsthesinger Oh I did!!! In a better year Patreon would def. be on the to-do list.
Amazing!! May I know which voice recorder (specific brand name) you use?
Beautifully paced and sung. Bravo!
The bass is so amazing
Beautiful in all vocal ranges!
finally some ttbb arrangements🤩
th-cam.com/video/zckmFxwagOU/w-d-xo.html Zero8 😊 conducted by Rasmus from the award winning Ringmasters (if you look closely the other members are in the ensemble)
Beautiful! Loved it! How do you line up the parts? Watched it a couple of times. The bass is on the left, right? Nice low note!😉
Very nice. Do you have any tips for resetting the voice after a phrase when you take a breath? I can sing the first phrase well, but my singing gets progressively worse and harder every bar that goes by. Would be great to hear back!
Can you please do a reaction video to this Mexican singer, in particular to "HUMBE- FANTASMAS" I promise you that you'll be pleasantly surprised! And who ever reads this comment go check out the lyrics video for translation if you don't speak english but the voice and instruments will need no translation ❤
How wonderful you found/enjoy the talents of Ola Gjeilo, a modern composer with wicked talent for choral works. His Julliard jazz productions are fun, but his choral arrangements are deceptively challenging. If you've not developed your breath/lungs, you'll be gasping 'cuz he loves him long sustaining chords, over 2-4 Largo measures, that intentionally move chordally voice to voice. I was introduced to Gjeilo in 2008 when the Festival Choir of the Diocese of Oakland (CA) sang The Ground (from Sunrise Mass... pre-official publication, with Gjeilo's permission/blessing) for the Pilgrimage Mass of the new cathedral, Cathedral of Christ the Light.
I've sung a lot of classical and religious choral pieces in my lifetime, and yet The Ground rates among the most beautiful and emotion evoking (right up with Lauridsen's 'Sure On This Shining Night'). Though it changes key most every verse, when the music swells in to verse 3, Angus Dei, I always have a moment of fighting the tears. It's ending, Dona Nobis Pacem, is not for the feint of heart or unexperienced singer.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
