I glad you were able to cross traffic safety. I can fell your pain. I'm a owner of a icebear mojo 150cc, I've had it just 2 month short of a year. It had stalled and I've been tow'ed twice. Any way just put a new carburetor on it. Didn't know about oiling the foam air filter, replaced muffler connections to the head because a stud worked loose. Its nice when it runs but its a pain in the ass keeping it running.
I have an Icebear Vision, which is a Chinese GY6 version of the Yamaha Zuma 125. Looks just like that one except mine is orange. Belt failures are the most common failures on Chinese scooters. I always carry a spare belt and tools to change it.
I changed my belt yesterday in my Lancer 150 . I knew the stock one was about to fail. I always get the gates powerlink. I had a belt fail and ruin a variator in turn ruining my next belt.
Thanks for showing .. I liked your video so much .. I went ahead and subscribed/liked.. I have an older Zuma 50cc 2009 with about 10k miles that I really like but getting old. So I a few years ago I bought a 2018 Zuma 50cc and didn't like it as much as my 2009.. I wish I could buy another new 2009 zuma 50cc but they don't make them any more.
If you are still running the stock parts you should be fine for a while. Mine only failed from my tinkering and abuse. 😂. You can normally get 6k miles out of a belt before even thinking about replacement. Thanks for watching 👍🛵🤙
So the reason for it failing was ringing it out top speed going to work? Do you think it would last longer as just a commute bike in town? I was thinking of buying one.
That belt shredded on my husbands bike. He replaced it and the clutch and the variator. Runs now but no speed won’t get above 25 miles an hour and it’s not as loud as it was before. Any ideas greatly appreciated!
Sorry to hear he is having some troubles with his scooter. What scooter does he have? Even a 50cc should be able to achieve speeds greater than 25 mph.
I would check that the new variator doesn't have a speed limiter installed. It's a small ring, about a 1/4-inch thick, that goes between the front pully halves to limit their travel. Otherwise you may have to tune your setup by changing the variators weights. Lighter weights will increase your RPMs like shifting into a lower gear and heavier weights will lower your RPMs. I hope this helps.
@@SCOOTERBILLthe variator didn’t havea restrictions on it. But, thank you for the suggestion from checking that it gave him the idea to check the weights of the rollers and see if a different weight would make a difference. The ones that came with the new variator were 8.4 grams each and we had done that were 5.3 so he switched them and now he’s got speed again :) Again thank you for responding to my question and helping with suggestions!!!
Hi, how do you take the panels off to do maintenance? Can you make a vid on how to do that with the Rugby 2? I unscrewed all the screws but the front is still stuck on. I'm afraid i'm going to break it.
Look for a tabbed slot that needs a push forward or back to release the panel. Or a pop fastener built into the panel. Not on a cold day. If so, put that part towards sun to warm it up, then try. You just want it warned so nothing breaks easily.
I love my Rugby, I have the 50cc version but modified the shit out of it. Only gripe is the mirrors. They only adjust certain ways. Had to swap those out. If you could, could you send me pictures of the frame/motor mount bracket? Might drop a 150 on it, if it doesn't require a lot of welding.
I got the 50 cc too. I love it, but i honestly wish it went faster. I know it's only a 50cc so the max it can go on a flat road is high 30s, but most roads around me are 45/55mph, and some are rather hilly, so i always feel like im slowing everyone down which i hate. Also, yeah, the mirrors. Im kinda tall so in order to look in them i gotta do like a weird torso compression just to look in them right lol
I’m working on recording content and will have some new videos soon. Honestly they should be inspected occasionally for wear and replaced as needed. The ones that failed were cheap aftermarket parts that I should have inspected long before this happened. Thanks for watching! 🛵
Love your videos, you helped me seal the deal to get a Wolf myself. You mention your spedometer cable disconnected. That happened to me as well as I was driving. It seems like the screw that helps attach it fell off. Maybe other parts. Not sure. I have it connected with a Zip Tie for the moment. Just because I don't know the dimensions of the screw. Any chance you may know them? Or when to get it? Any chance you could show me how it looks like on your front wheel? 🙏🏽🙌🏼 THANKS!!! Love the videos. Would like to see more!
Hello, where do you get your parts? Mine is leaking fuel from somewhere pretty bad....im in Hawaii and no one will work on it because they say parts are hard to find for Chinese scooters
While I can't disagree that most Chinese scooters are made from the cheapest parts available and would not hold up to that kind of riding, I can say that my breakdowns have been from parts I changed out from stock. Thanks for watching!

@@jonathanaustin8134 when idle is an issue I’ll usually make sure the carb is clean and the gas in tank is fresh. For the brake make sure the caliper mounting hardware, rotor bolts, and axle nut aren’t loose.
THAT is why you're well advised to go maybe a 1,000 easy miles & then swap out to a Gates Power Link Kevlar belt. Variator upgrades already ? You riding it at 55+ mph is def severe service. If you C A R E F U L L Y upgrade the GY6 I'll be curious to see your performance & longevity factor. Good work - subbed !
I definitely have not been easy on this scooter or any of the parts I have changed. It has been great even though some of the parts I used have failed. More to come. Thanks for watching and subscribing!
He messed with / modded his Variator from the get go. And prob kept the stock belt too. Goes with the territory. Prob would've gone 6,000 miles / a year + IF left stock. On all Scoots you're well advised to be mechanically inclined. Japanese or Italian too. Goes double for Chinese.

I have one just like it and I have never had any problems. I do all of its services according to the user manual.
You can do a lot of highway rides on this bikes. That's why. Highway no good for 150cc
Thank you for all you do

Do you add fuel stabilizer to your engine. My rugby has been giving me a hard time starting
I will use Startron fuel treatment every once in a while. Especially if it’s going to be sitting for the winter. Thanks for watching!

Hey I'm looking into getting one of these. Is this a 150 gy6 engine/ctv?
Yes it is a GY6 engine (QMJ157). Thanks for watching!
I was just wondering if yours is a 49cc Wolf's scooter I would like to know how you got it to do 50 or more
Must be the 150cc. U would have to be insane to take the 50cc on the highway!
you were going 75 on the highway? you mean kilometers per hour don't you? not mph. unless you have modified it to go faster.
We need an update on the scooter. Have you done any mods to it?

Running like a top. Updates coming soon. Thanks for watching!
Do you recommend this rugby scooter?
Overall, yes I would still recommend. Thanks for watching!
hey im thinking about getting one of these, I'm wondering how much insurance is on it if you don't mind me asking
Insurance for just a Scooter should run about $100 a year. It varies by location and coverage.

6000 miles on my 170cc Chinese scooter so far, mostly at 55 mph, no issues.
