So Kargo updated this bag recently and added bottom compression straps. Seems like they listened to your feedback. I was also a bit vocal on their Instagram 😅. Are you planning on taking a look at the updated version?
I purchased this bag and I really love the organization but it feels like it rides super close to the neck for me. I find the Chrome Kadet feels more comfy then this.
I picked up the greenrom metrorunner a while back. It has the same issue where it leans away from the body and the leading edge along the bottom digs into your back. It has to do with the strap is oriented like this smaller kargo bag. Good to see this newer version addressed that issue.
I actually just gave my Metrorunner to a friend for this reason. I didn’t realize when I bought it that bags where the straps connect at the sides tend to do this. It made me realize I like my bags to hang a bit
Nice review, I feel this is a much better tech edc vs the Kadet due to that tech compartment with padding. Anyone who was able to fit a steam deck here? How is the fit?

I'm really loving that bag too, just one thing though that it needs to strap needs to be totally removable if you're going to put two handle carries on the bag then you need to have a removable strap Captain obvious always leaves a memo so cargo read the memo replaceable strap❤❤

Man, that is a super nice sling and I LOVE THE DANGLE-FREE design here! I like that bullet style and size (5.5L) a lot for my daily carry needs. I really like that it is made in CO, USA, too. This Loculus looks like an Aer Day Sling on steroids. I don't use my Aer that much because it doesn't quite hold all my stuff without being stuffed so this one from Kargo looks perfect for me. OK, I'll admit that they all look perfect for me until I receive them. :) Thanks (once again) for an outstanding review. My wife doesn't like you, btw. Nothing personal; its simply that $110 is going toward another bag for me now (multicam) instead of something like another pair of shoes for her. :)
This is very similar to the Defy Insidious and Insidious Jr. slings. The form factor is great since it perfectly fits a loaf bread (daily carry, daily bread, see what I did there?). Would be cool to see some reviews of Defy products since there aren't too many. Made in the USA (Chicago) too.
I like the TomToc 9L Sling bag. Just need EDC bags that can connect to the strap and I haven't found any worth getting yet. Do you have any recommendations? Or do you not do EDC's?
@@ThePerfectBag yeah. The issue is that nearly all of the EDC bags connect vertically when I need horizontally because the TomToc doesn't have a place on the strap to connect to.
My 11” iPad Pro is my daily driver for tech. If you only want to spend a little, get the khaki TomToc EDC sling from Amazon. If you have some money to burn, go treat yourself to a Greenroom 136 Metromonger.
The metrorunner feels a little bigger. I like the organization better on the Kargo and the strap better on the metro runner and the interior material better on the greenroom and the exterior materials better on the loculus
@@ThePerfectBag I lean towards the Metrorunner 01 Prime with EPX400. It just needs the compression straps on the bottom for a tripod, yoga mat, umbrella, etc.; YKK Aquaguard zippers; and a hidden third compartment along the back of the bag to keep your passport, phone , wallet in.

This past week I've been researching/ watching reviews for ~my~ perfect sling - was thinking I was going to settle for the greenroom 136 metrorunner - but Kargo Loculus ticks all my boxes: well made, good price point, high contrast interior, good interior organization, not too "strap-y", stands up on its own, a rugged-urban aesthetic, big enough to fit the things I'll want to carry but not too overbearing.
I personally wouldn't call that branding "minimal". To me, that's a very large and obnoxious logo right on the front - and being embroidered, it can't be removed without damaging the fabric. Great bag otherwise, but that's a deal-breaker to me. I don't understand why all these companies go to the trouble of designing a fantastic bag, and then just ruin it with branding. Same thing with the Chrome Kadet. I don't want to be a walking advertisement, especially when I'm paying money for a premium product.

Just wanna say Patagonia's stealth sling can be worn on either shoulders and have the openings facing up when you sling it to your front.

I would suggest what is called a PROXY. Join a carry focused group on facebook or Reddit and find a US based friend who will buy and then ship to you.

Just under 6 inches-ish tall. I got 5.5 fully in the sleeve and 6 sticking up towards the top of the compartment

If you look at the other colorways on the Kargo site, you will notice that the logo is quite large and in your face. No Bueno.
