hell yea brother old school the one im running is 2011 and i love it just basically rebuilding it over time as stuff breaks, lots of work but amazing how many trees these machines can cut a day
If the auto feed starts feeding before the bar is out of the way, your bar sensor is definitely broken or not calibrated. Also I notice that the engine stalls horribly when you start sawing or feeding. Goes from 1750 RPM to 1000 RPM. And that is not normal. Should get your pumps adjusted and all the pressures checked on the hydraulics. Even the Ponsse Fox (which I run) doesnt stall like that when feeding a bigger tree and its a significantly smaller machine with only one work pump whereas the Ergo has two work pumps (One for the boom and one for the harvester head)
i went through and got everything calibrated so it works since 6 months ago, i ended up just turning it off because most of the trees i cut are crooked and i don't get more than 1 or 2 saw logs out of a tree if any.
@@mountainmancody415 sorry to hear that man, glad to hear you’re still felling trees. Hope it gets better for you. I wish to see a harvester in person one of these days.
I just purchased a 2001 ponsse harvester. Just beginning to learn. Thank you for your content.

that year ponsse ergos have super powerful cranes and head, some say that you can pull the harvester onto its side with the feed rollers
yea they are pretty amazing i have to watch sometimes or it will pull you over, can't get to complacent.
Hey man, any new content? I’d love to see it in person but this is pretty darn cool too.
been going through some personal issues so havn't been filming that much lately but i have still been cutting trees down

Nice, curious who the trainer was? Getting all that little stuff set up right takes a good running machine to the next level.
Todd was the trainer from Ponsse, very helpful and a lot of experience with the machines
Wow that is a lot to remember on the controls lol
it can be a lot but i still think its easier than an old motorgrader with 20 levers
Schade das man das Video nicht auf deutsch synchronisiert hat.🤷
Talk about scattered volume jeeze
