HOMEMADE 588cc 3 CYLINDER GX FINALLY GETS ITS TURBO!!//Part 2

- Yes it is finally turbski time!! btw there definitely is a HT lead on the number one engine I just couldn't fit the normal plug cap on so I put a blue crimp connector with a ring end on the lead and screwed it on top of the plug. apart from that and the shaky camera work, I think its looking pretty good! i aint no Allen Milliard but I can sure make a whooshy bangy thing!!..
It should make some boost with a moderate load. Crazy contraption you slapped together! Nice work on the manifolds too. That stuff takes forever.
Man!!! pls do not leave it so long between videos! The fabrication content is awesome and seeing you problems solve and design custom parts is what makes this channel. please keep it up!
Thanks man this year I'm getting on it!!
How hp?
@tomplumb1 be a bit easy on him. this kind work takes quite a bit of brainstorming, patience there’s a whole list I could name. Just in the engineering aspect that’s including his time editing the video which can take a lot of time! Be patient my friend if the creator were to rush he could run into all sorts of issues and end the whole project because of one very tiny mistake!

I watched you build this engine, sir, and I have to tell you that you are an amazing fabricator. The stainless cool side and all the pipe work is just awesome. I love your work. Great channel.
Wow, thanks!
Awesome for the draw-through set up. We need to see more of it. It's so simple and cheap.
Thanks man not sure how it will hold up might switch to a blow thru but we'll see how it goes first
@@councilhousecreations8035Blow through would require the carburettor to be pressurised, additionally the fuel pressure would need to be increased above atmospheric, in direct proportion to the boost. Not overly complicated with the use of a fuel pressure regulator with a boost nipple added to the atmospheric side of the diaphragm to fool it into thinking that's what the atmospheric pressure is.
The carburettor needs to be sealed, which is the tricky part, with overflow and other venting, such as through the slide. My project was turbo charging an old Austin Mini. First I attempted fuel injection using a Volkswagen CIS, minus one injector, it would either idle with poor high end, or have high end without idle. Frustrated, I eventually found a Daihatsu Chrade turbo carburettor which was a blow through system, this solved all problems. Good luck, I hope this tidbit of information may help avoid some potential pitfalls.
yep draw through is the way to go for carb turbo
The master returns! Been checkin youtube every now and then to see if you've uploaded, excited to see where this build goes 👍🏽 love a little turbo noise 🤙🏾🇦🇺
Thanks man I won't lie it's basically a noise machine lol 😆
@@councilhousecreations8035 well you are a machinist 🤷🏽♂️ you'd probably be able to make an adapter plate to mate a motor bike gearbox upto it, could make a cart 😁 weither its off road or on the street! Makin a gearbox adapter is a little hard but considering you've slapped 3 motors together and put a little turbo on it, I'd say you can do anything 👌🏾🤙🏾
Technically, with the addition of the turbo it makes it a racing motor. So in essence, it's a GSXR600 now.
Exactly!!
I wouldn't agree with you on it being a GSXR600, I'd rather say it's a Triumph Daytona 600, with it being a 3 cylinder
Sounds like a diesel engine in a semi truck
Glad you are back after a long time ❤
Thanks man I hope it performs
Amazing build sir the time you take to make it right is very refreshing, subscribed.
Hey man thanks a bunch!
It's refreshing to see some proper fabrication with something like this.
My favourite thing is that awesome 3 into 1 exhaust collector you created. It actually makes the engine/s sound great 😁
T
I've gotta commend you on your patience welding all those pie-cuts with a stick welder, very very nice! I found the "Splink!" of the slag popping off at 16:17 particularly satisfying!
I love that you’re using so much stick welding. It adds more vibe to this already mad project. 😂
i totally love that you engineer like i do, you havent fallen into the new age cnc everything, theres something special about hand crafting everything, measurements are not important, that looks about right is so much better ,totally love this man, keep it up
Thanks man if it looks gd it is gd!
@@councilhousecreations8035 exactly
We need to crowd fund this lad get him some tools like a drill press etc etc if anyone who knows how to ser it up please get on it asap. What he puts together with the tools he already owns is absolutely amazing 💯💯🔥🔥
One thing is for certain is that how thick that exhaust tubing is, you never have to worry about it getting any rust holes anytime soon like conventional car exhaust tubing. Pretty stout! I’m impressed.
Been waiting for this video for so long!! Thanks for documenting it. I love your work and obviously so do you!! Cant wait for the next one. Keep it up!!!
Honestly seeing 3, 1 cylinder engines is pretty cool and the fact it sounds like a 3 cylinder is so cool, I'd love to see like more options like 4 cylinders maybe if you could a 5 cylinder with all of them and etc etc love to see all types of number of cylinders with 1 cylinder engines ngl its a great experiment love this fr
Planning on building a three cylinder out of three horizontal Briggs and Stratton engines and this build will help me out!
Sounds and runs absolutely awesome !
“Triple Threat”!
Outstanding work and it’s good to see you back
Astonishing work on those manifolds, I take my hat off to you sir
Thank you very much!
so glad to see you back
Man you are a genius! This is called a profession! Congratulations !!!
Just came across your channel, that's some crazy mad scientist stuff...love it 👍👍
I’m happy to see your back! Thank you for uploading again.
My pleasure!
Sounds so amazing!!!Good job 👏
Those collectors are gorgeous. Nice fabrication job!
Great job so far. Keep up the great woek.
😂nice. Good clean fun.
Get a temp gun on each exhaust port at the head. More than likely doesnt get the same A/F ratio to each cyl with a draw thru setup. Fuel tends to puddle in the tube bends, maybe that can be tuned somehow
Thanks man u might be right. Might switch to a blow thru setup in the future
Blow through is the way to go.
@@councilhousecreations8035
When this popped up in my feed I clicked right away! Didn't even question it.
Fair play doing it all with the stick welder.
So happy to see you made another video, hope there are many more in 2024!
I hope so!
The joys of the arc welder! So wholesome mate! Ive made jusr about everything using a $99 stick welder for 22 years! Just bought my first MIG/TIG the other day, its nice but the ark does the job too!!
Always used stick got a mig now just use it for quick easy jobs but if it needs some strength bust out the stick and if its gotta look pretty i take it to work and tig
I use a Lincoln 3 phase mig at work all day but I've only got a little single phase mig at home so it just feels better doin most things here with the stick. Its amazing how many comments I get because of the stick welder
I really appreciate the extensive use of the angle grinder
Good to see a new post from you. Thanks for the videos.
Thanks man
My Man!Been Waitin' On This One!!!!💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿
This channel is becoming a holy grail of over engineering brilliance.keep it up mate 👍
From India
The welds on your manifold are pretty darn nice for a home welding setup! If you can find/afford it look for some MG Super 600 rod. It is crazy expensive, but it's basically cheater rod. As long as the metal is clean it will basically run itself. I use it at work for air brake pipes on railroad cars, and it would be perfect for this application.
Sounds amazing!!
Glad to see an update 😁
The fact you welded the manifold with stick is awesome, I couldn't do it properly even with TIG, probably...
Glad to see you back 💪
Thanks man stick all the way 💪
Good to see you back Gezzer , great job 😁😁🤘🤘
Hey, thanks!
Well done! Sounds super 👌🤙
Hey man Thanks a lot! 🙏
The machining and fabrication is ultimately impressive. Bit the fact that it sounds immaculate is really something to be admired. I have a little 800cc inline 3 in my kawasaki sxs, and though the exhaust sound is similar, it is so heavily muffled and detuned, it just doesn't have that attractive exhaust note this has. The turbo just adds to it
Thank you very much!
Sounds freakin awesome!!
I hope you are well and life has treated yourself and family well it’s nice to see you back
Thanks man feels gd to get a video out hopefully this this will be gd
Incredible. Funny i was thinking about doing something like this all week and then i see this video. Sounds great too, would love to see this on a go cart or something
You crazy genius, awesome!
Finally. A small TH-camr who can weld
wow sir your manifacturing skills are so good!!
That's some quality fabrication. Great to see you're back!
Hey, thanks!
Well !!! I don’t know how I come across this channel ? ……..but I’m glad I did ! New sub 👍👍👍awesome skills !
it sounds good. well done
Great work bro.👍
It sounds awesome, like an old diesel truck ❤
I've been waking for this 😎😎😎
Sounds mad, but put that thing in a little row boat with a prop.
That would be awesome.
Love it
Dangit..every youtube channel is doing this. You show the results at the beginning of the video.
Awesome build mate. Awesome.
Bro Your Arc Welding is on Point!!! Positional Arc Welding Pipe is The Hardest Kinda Welding!!!!
wicked vid man
Cheers
Jim
Sweet sounds
Great to see you are back on form 😊 hope you have been keeping well , that's one hell of a build you fabrication work is outstanding , great work young man , petty you can't do a calab with Colin furse that would be awesome , 😊😊
Thanks 👍that wud be epic!!
I always wanted to do something like this. Super cool!
Brave welding that with Stick. i know i couldn't do it, That thing sounds amazing btw!
ronco magnifico !😍😍
Omg bro is stick welding this! Damn liked and subscribe that is amazing all in itself!
Lol you watched this too
🎉 🥳 i did wonder what youd been up to all these months with the new workshop space! Looks & sounds great in the introduction , im just about to watch now.
Pleased to see you make a return for 2024!
hey man, yeah hopefully this year will go a lot better, hope your well.
@@councilhousecreations8035 I struggle to get all my projects done before starting another that's the biggest issue! Sometimes life is too hectic to make time for filming & family comes first. I hope this year's going to be easier for you.🤞 looks like your channel has exploded over the past few years so there's definitely potential with some regular uploads ( just difficult to achieve when doing these types of projects/experiments).
Amazing work on the exhaust/ turbo system pipework it looks brilliant & all done with your trusty stick ✅
Its going to be Very interesting when you get this beast bolted into a machine, looking forward to the eventual test ride videos 😂
Man u sound just like me I must have started dozens of project in the last year but only a few worked out and I didn't even record them 😅 I even put a man lorry engine in my l200 just didn't have time to film it...
@@Adventure_Van_Upgrades Same here! Tend to start more projects before finishing what's on the table!
Fuckin' 'ell, feel like I been waiting forever for this video upload.
Sounds like my old speed triple. Beast mode engaged!
thanks man
Very cool! Now wire the kill switches together 👍🏼
My old engine!!! I love it mate
Thats some madlad farication with a very basic tooling set up! Nicely done
Wow I never thought they would have sounded like that put together in the same exhaust pipe..
This sounds fantastic for what it's worth, the turbo just sounds so right
beatyful this is art
sounds amazing for what it is... I am impressed mate. Good on ya. Cheers.
It might explode but it'll sound good while it's doing it!!
would make a great vid though ... as long as nobody dies in the process lol @@councilhousecreations8035
Wow. You're good with stick welding. I do tig mostly, and would probably not try that if I had only stick. I'm impressed. The "collector" (divider? diffuser?) After the compressor discharge looked difficult and turned out pretty nice.
Hey thanks yes it was a pain welding 1.5mm tube with 3.2mm rods 😅👍
Love your video❤
This is like bigger than the 4th dimension kid!!!! ❤
welcome back
This thing legit sounds awesome like a truck engine or something
There’s another guy that took everything apart as a kid. I took the motor off Dads tiller, it worked great on my go kart until I had a sudden pain in my ass. It was my Dads foot ! He said boy how long did it take you to get that motor off my tiller ? I said about thir thir thirty minutes 😆 he said I’ll give you 25 to get it back on there ! And so begins my career as an electro-mechanical technician. We couldn’t help it, if 2 batteries made your toy run ok, then surely 4 made it run even better? Tinkering is the best therapy, now days I spend it on vintage motorcycles, my true love. 🐾✌️🇺🇸
Awesome thanks that is good work man 👍😊
So awesome!
this is cool! :D
Lol. I've never seen someone take a grinder to a running lathe. 😂 Anyway, your engine is pretty sweet. Good for you.
mans got a lathe............but not a measuring device, finally a creator who's work is less accurate than mine
Genius. More please...
That would be nuts in a bike build
damn that thing sounds like 1/4 of an old v12 ferrari racing motor. same groany type of sound and everything. very cool
Bloody Brilliant
Thanks bro!
The main question is what are you going to do with it?
As you said once under load it might start producing some positive boost.
I cannot wait to See it on wheels... Good job..
Thanks man me too!
Wow, all that hot side work done with a STICK welder is impressive. Seriously, I do a lot of tig welded stainless exhaust work, and there's no way I could do that with a stick welder. I'd be burning holes and cussing like a sailor.
Thanks mate! I did burn a lot of holes in the stainless pipe but I have the power of editing to smooth it all out 😎👌
You really should make it a blow-thru. Those Mikuni VM carbs are easy to adapt, just make a nice, big enough plenum and connect the 3 carburetor fuel overflows on the plenum, pressurising the fuel bowl.
You could make it one or 3 carbs!. You will need a pressurised fuel system tho... Greater challenge, greater reward!.
Sounds awesome, almost like the the can am maverick turbo engine
Glad I waited a year for a comeback💪
thanks man im not glad i waited a year!
Epic 😁
Amazing work, the sound is very good! I've noticed that one of spark plug cables appears to be disconnected, or I'm wrong?
Awesome! Turbo needs an oil feed, though, right? Is the black one with the fuel tank on doing anything? HT lead looks sketchy and didn't seem to sound too much different when you turned it off. Need something to put it in now!
Bro I always wanted to see this
that thing sound insanely fucking good
Sounds awesome
thanks man
