    > A great unit. This style of FRESH coffee also comes in the Minipresso GR (GR = ground) version if you like the freshly ground coffee flavour. Pumps out a fresh brew each & every time. HIGH quality units at a worthwhile price. Throw it in your backpack - great for hiking and rafting all day and for those long weekend adventures. Worth every cent!

    I like my latte in the mornings. We often go camping, this would be ideal for that, will not be able to froth the milk but can pop that in a saucepan on the camp fire. Small and compact sounds ideal.

    OK: Obtained this gadget as a gift, when to the most expensive mall in my area that has a Nespresso store and brought a 10-pack of espresso cartridges, tried it out, and the espresso tastes like the stuff I buy in Starbucks, the Nespresso sample counter, etc. Now - how do I clean this joint out?

    Bought the minipresso GR because I liked the fact it came it more stainless steel parts and there really didn't see to be much difference btwn the 8 or 18 bar pressure
    I believed I could buy the pod adaptor and have a 2 machines on one ... ground coffee or pods
    Now it seems if I wanted to use ground coffee and pods I should have bought the Nanopresso
    Been looking on line and it appears I cannot buy a Wacaco minipresso Adapter For Nespresso Pods... please advise if it actually available for purchase or whether I have made a mistake in the machine I bought

      Hi Davina! Yes, the Minipresso comes either in one version for Ground Coffee, the Minipresso GR, or one version for pods, the Minipresso NS. To have the ability to use the adapters, you would have to purchase the Nanopresso. If you ordered from our online store, and you're thinking you accidentally ordered the wrong machine and would rather have the Nanopresso, please contact us at support@wacaco.com

      @@Wacaco very funny. Any idea how to make boiling water hotter?
      Maybe I should pump next to a volcano so that the air is also hot! 😄

      @@manfred3197 :D try priming the machine by running one tank of boiling water (no filter basket) through it to warm up all of the parts. This should help you get a much hotter shot. Let us know if that helps!

    I'd buy one if you didn't have to put HOT water in it.

    • @Wacaco
      @Wacaco  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Jeff! You can still brew with any temperature water (even cold for cold brew), and still get an extraction. For the best possible extraction, boiling hot water is best.

    There are three elements to a Espresso machine: The pressure, the heat, and the coffee. This doesn't have any of those things. The coffee, you need one of those stupid capsules. The heat, you have to heat the water yourself. The pressure ... all hand pumped buddy.
    Stupidest thing I've ever seen, you'll sell two units, tops. Maybe three.

    • @hetnameroi
      @hetnameroi 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      yes it does! First, it uses the same capsule you would use for the Nepresso machine. Unless you have one of those thousand dollar machines that grind the coffee bean, you will have to use the capsule nonetheless. It is actually more convenience to carry these capsules than the coffee beans. Second, this meant to be portable so yes you have to stick your water into a microwave which every hotel should have to heat it up first. Third, I'm sure the hand pump pressure is enough. Have you ever shot one of the newer BB guns that use hand pump to build up pressure? It doesn't need much to build pressure....just basic physic don't let the air escape

    • @Wacaco
      @Wacaco  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can also use ground coffee beans in our Minipresso GR and in the Nanopresso, the Nanopresso is also capable of 18 bars of pressure (comparable to high end machines). For the best extraction, the water does need to be hot, and we do recommend a rolling boil and pre-heating the machine for the best extraction.
