- ♥ SO I am so nervous to upload this video (I don’t even know why). I guess it’s because I know I am ALL over the place (esp in the intro, oops) but I just really wanted to speak from the heart and say whatever was on my mind. Social media is such a great place for so many things, but it definitely has an ugly side as well.
The people you follow on Social Media are just sharing a very small part of their life, and for most influencers, it is not always as glam as it seems. Yes we get a LOT of free products, attend very cool events/trips etc. but most of our days are filled with filming/editing/outreach/emails/content planning/working on future projects… which is not so glam.
I want to encourage you ALL to focus on YOURSELF. Figure out your passions and go after your dreams. Don’t spend a single second worrying about what someone else is doing, you are being so unfair to yourself!

Honestly, even the makeup I am wearing in this video is way too much makeup for my everyday life, BUT because I am sharing a YT tutorial, I did want to do a bit more than my normal - which I hope you all enjoy, especially my busy ladies who have zero time but want to look FAB!

Arshia, I've been watching your videos for years now, literally since the very beginning, and I can't tell you how much more respect and admiration I have for you for coming out and saying these things. I just recently watched a documentary called Embrace and it made me realize just how much pressure we put on younger girls to be perfect all the time, perfect life, perfect education, perfect job, perfect marriage, perfect body, perfect face, perfect cooking skills, the list is endless. I have no doubt that a major part of mental illnesses for both men and women come from these crazy expectations and not being "good enough". Thank you so much for being so upfront; beyond just talented, you are also incredibly thoughtful and I'm so so proud of you for using your platform to remind everyone that happiness goes far beyond what you see on Instagram. Just the fact that you realize this fact rather than basking in the glory of the admiring comments and wanting more makes you wise far beyond your years. Love you! ❤️

Arshia, It took a lot of guts to show the true vulnerable you. Thank you for your bravery. Many people that are of social media influence would probably never take the steps you did to show their true self and I'm really glad that you put yourself out there and spoke truth to (from what I see) thousands of women who do look up to you. Hi i really like all your videos.. i use same foundations that you suggested. I mean my skin tone is same as yours. I started watching your videos from feb 2016. I undergone big surgery after my first delivery. And i was bed bound for 6 months. I was not allowed to put any weight on my feet. During that period i used watch your videos n order everything n try to do it like you. .... this thing slowely slowely totaly divert my mind from health issues. Now i can walk cnnt run dance sit on floor. I lost few things. But can manage my life. There are hundreds of makeup n all sort of videos. But i love yours. Your videos was my companion during those 6 months. N also i learnt a lot from it. Wish you good luck

I’m waiting until marriage to have sex, and everyone around me is getting married and engaged. I still live with my parents. I feel like a 2-year-old. Congrats on becoming a nurse ! Don't feel bad about living with your parents I'm 25 and I still live with them. It's helping me save money to buy house within 2 years (hopefully). As long as you are happy that's all that counts! Plus it's good to know parents have our backs :)

I'm 23 and I've been trying to get my grad school application in and done but it's been such a miserable process. I also live at home and I'm also waiting to get married with my boyfriend ( sometime next year). Please don't feel alone, I'm on a similar boat and your comment made my night. I feel like a child too and sometimes I get insecure when I see people around my age making so much money and living on their own . Such a great video. I loved how you mentioned your posts being your portfolio...I have a work portfolio and it's the best pieces from my career. It isn't what I produce on a daily basis. The problem with social media is that everyone does look like they are having the best career, love life, family. It's great to celebrate others but your point about letting go is so spot on. I'm way older than you, but I'm starting my 2018 focusing on me...not what I think others think I should do/be.

There is one thing being glam and one thing looking young. Sometimes over excess of makeup just makes one look older. That is why you will never see actresses with full face of makeup on. Makeup should only highlight your facial traits and not turn one's face into a middle aged looking woman when one is only in her 20s. Skincare is much more important than makeup. Better invest that money in great skincare and make one's skin look bright and plumped up.
I have been SO obsessed with skincare! I never took it so seriously until just very recently and learning about it has made me fall in love with it even more! xo

V.Nice video. I like to wear makeup daily but my skin is really sensitive and breaks out if I wear liquid foundation daily. I have a combination type skin and use MAC pro longwear nourishing foundation. Even if I change the brand, my skin breaks out with foundation. Can I use MAC Studio fix powder cum foundation alone over moisturizer? Does it last all day alone and give full coverage? Please suggest if you have any better option for my skin.
