I could watch your videos all day. You explain things so well. I’ll never need to build a wall but I still like to watch

Having worked in the trades in my late teens in Massachusetts, when I helped build my Father in Law’s house in SC years later, I was surprised that they don’t do strapping. Sure makes pulling Romex easier.

You explain things very well and make things look so easy! Our projects never seem to work out that way. I love watching you work on your new house.

I’m one of your 74 year old lady fans and love watching you work. My husband asked today “you aren’t going to stand behind me and criticize me are you?”!😂 I told him “no way!”😂😂😂

I wish strapping was everywhere, as It'd be so much easier to wire parts of a house, especially not new construction.

Laser level probably makes marking much easier

Would you consider donating all that trim to habitat for humanity or just on a buy nothing group in your town? May not be the most modern style but I'm sure someone would love it and would create less waste.

Not so common to have strapping in the midwest. It certainly makes sense. I mentioned it to someone before finishing a ceiling and they looked at me like I was crazy.

Get yourself a 6 beam laser level. Makes an easy job of projecting from floor to ceiling.

Just a thought if you moved the opening to the pantry . You would have way more room for shelves and cabinets.

3:54 should there not have been installation in that wall/space?

I just don't understand why you won't just rip up the whole carpet? You're obviously redoing the whole room anyway so why do you insist on cutting these little strips to make walls?

I explained this in another video… eventually I am doing new flooring throughout the first floor but I need to do a lot before that happens, including remodeling the kitchen. The peninsula is going to turn into an island. That might be a while so I want to keep the carpet until then. Make sense?
