    This outbreak had multiple wedges, Elkhorn tornado was rain wrapped i think too, and Iowa and Nebraska had a incredibly powerful wedge on Friday too.

    how about a unified call for the govt to give the same amount of money to these victims as it did to ukrainians or illegals? HOW ABOUT WE DEMAND THAT-OUR TAX DOLLARS TO FELLOW AMERICAN CITIZENS-600,000 per person/per family

      No. You can't funnel all that money back into the politicians pockets. I agree with you by the way.

      @@thisissparta8884 That's why you have insurance on your homes. Have fun getting them tp pay up. Same type of folks that don't believe in climate change. The National guard and I'm sure The Federal government will give assistance. Poor people that have been hit etc. Biden's budget proposal for the fiscal year that starts Oct. 1 includes $22.7 billion for the disaster fund - a 14 percent increase from funding levels the past two years. The additional $2.8 billion likely will be insufficient to close the $7.2 billion deficit that FEMA projects for its disaster fund.Mar 13, 2024 Why? so much less because the same people that complain it's too much money to spend don't want to pass a damn bill for more. Climate Change deniers get it?

      @@sandtoy11510 One of the biggest financial drains has come from former President Donald Trump’s decision in 2020 to use the disaster fund to reimburse states for pandemic expenses. FEMA has spent $123 billion on pandemic response - far more than anyone had predicted - and projects the total spending will hit $144 billion by October.

    To anyone that lost their homes in this tragedy, if you plan to rebuild, please relocate out of this State first. Living in tornado alley is not worth it.

      Ridiculous! If you knew anything about tornados it's likely the safest place to rebuild theyve never hit the same place twice in Nebraska in recorded history!

      I don't think they heard you. You know after a wild outbreak of tornadoes like we just witnessed you'd think people would come together for a national day of prayer but nope. Nothing. I heard it was about 26 tornadoes that were confirmed in the ground yesterday. Smh. No appeal to God for forgiveness or acts of repentance from this nation of vipers. Well these are only birth pains that have been happening for about 2 years now. No more warnings will be given.

      Can you think of anything else but looting?? 😮😮😮

    • @tst1200
      @tst1200 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Nope. No looters allowed! Nebraskans don't tolerate that. We have emergency response training for tornados. We have the largest number of trained storm observers in the country. Like we are known for standing and watching tornados not hiding but we know when to shelter and we don't loot. We have trained teams that are literally in every area who come in asap and begin response. Making sure people are safe and out of damaged homes. Securing the area so strangers can't come loot and cleaning up branches restoring utilities all starts within a few minutes after. By a few hours there are shelters and if needed a distribution center containing a lost and found will be set up to handle donations. The main things needed being totes and tarps. Those affected will be able to process and tell their story as suitable for them. The needs are accessed and paperwork for insurance and/or FEMA begun. Then a basic needs wish list started. As donations come in they are matched to those needs. The difficult part is the repairs and the rebuilding based on if insurance and how long for pay out of it For those who don't have insurance and for those who rented is where the snags are. Landlords often don't rebuild. Affordable or cheap housing is in short supply here.
