I wish I could post this in every one of his videos. Been a fan for years. The DBD community in general is shit. Tru is a mortal man as flawed as the rest of us, but is always genuine and presents well thought out opinions. I'll keep watching as long as he plays.
Someone really needs to ask the community why they hate on Tru3 and to tone it down, cuz it's clear that it has its effects at times.
I respect him for doing his own thing and keeping away from community drama and dbd content creators, but for some reason a large amount of the community have no issue mocking or insulting Tru3. Even if you turn a blind eye and ignore it, that level of malice will leave an effect on you overtime.
Tru3 if you're ever feeling down man, there's some content creators that are fans of your stuff here. TUR Jay is quite supportive of you for example. You're not alone mate, we see what's going on and I'm sorry we can't change it. Just know that your followers and some creators do support and respect you.

Been lurking TrU3's TH-cam and Twitch on and off for a few years. Way, way back I remember seeing DBD for the first time through TrU3's stream as he was playing Freddy Krueger and I had no idea what this game was. During this period I've come to see some takes from TrU that I strongly disagree with, and some that I agree with. At the end of the day I do agree on most of (I think) his takes on the DBD Community. You're outspoken, you speak your truth, you (for the most part though not always) accept that some of the things you say are subjective and therefor you can discuss/argue about certain topics where as so many others take their subjective opinions as the factual and objective truths. What I'm getting at is that if you throw this stigmatization around TrU aside, you'll see that he's more genuine and TrU3 (pun intended) to himself leauges above most others.
Again, he has made some takes on X that makes me cringe real bad, and there are games where he goes on a rant about the imbalances of the game where others would say "just accept that they played better", etc, but at the end of the day most of his takes are for the better. He can put himself in the shoes of both sides in an argument and he can discuss things without trying to push down or belittle the other person.
With all that being said, it's WILD that the community as a whole finds comfort and belonging in the box of "clowning on TrU3". Malicious behavior, bullying, toxicity. Somehow it's OK for people to misstreat TrU3 because they don't agree with him? Like what. If you don't like the guy, avoid him. Simple as that. Wild.

I've been playing DBD since first week after release. Mostly play it casually and hardly ever sweat.
I do believe that comes from the point that there really isn't any incentive to try and ACTUALLY improve.
I've wished over the years that they make a ranked mode and a casual/public mode as different modes. And give ranks frames/banners/exclusive rewards to give everyone an incentive to improve. Literally just anything to causa a drive in the player to learn stuff and get better with the game.

The competitive multiplayer gaming community, in general, has an inordinate number of toxic, egotistical players, but DBD seems to attract a special breed. Sociopaths/trolls/egoists are completely predictable and always follow the same behavior patterns, regardless of what game they’re playing. They’re sad, weak, damaged people in real life, and compensate for it, by bolstering themselves in the virtual world. The sad reality is that, the more time they have invested in the game, the more it tends to amplify their behavior. It really all boils down to their attempts to justify/legitimize the thousands of hours they’ve sunk in a game as being a worthwhile endeavor. As an illustration, P100’s, in DBD, tend to be poster children for this pathology.

yes playing survivor can be frustrating , i experience that myself. thats how it is in a TEAM ENVIRONMENT. The killer doesnt have to rely on other people.. does that mean he should lose on purpose? sometimes im trying to be nice letting a 2 hooked person go or dont slug in endgame and whats the reward for it? it bites me in the ass sometimes. and them waiting teabagging at the exit gates until i show up. and thats when i do the proxy camping and tunneling sometimes because im not cool with losing on purpose to make the experience better for a slacking survivor squad.

I used to like dbd, i played around 2021. Left and came back 2022-23 had around 600 hrs would watch Tru3, Otz. Played exclusively against known streamers within the dbd community and ppl with triple or quadruple my hrs for whatever reason. But i appreciate the knowledge you give Tru3 and u and i share the same issues with the state of the game now

the problem competitive bring is that the game isnt working equally for everyone, some people have no lags, some people have severe lags, bugs rng and more. the difference between comp dbd and other comp games is that if u play long enough in dbd and u have a team u can literally become a comp player, while in other games u cant no matter how much u play, u need to be young with talent and have ur entire life devoted to the game.

over 9k hours in dbd played comp years ago, beat the best of the best players and some the best teams out there, yet i have over 30k in league of legend and im a nobody there.

DBD is a fun casual 1v4 game with mid balancing not enough systems in place for a good competitive experience. So this is a re**rded take. I stand by my opinion: comps are frustrated children with huge egos to feed and too much free time. They are the kind of toxic person that I wouldn't even want to face, even though they would certainly be worthy opponents.
The 1v1 thing will always make me laugh. What the fuck do you want to prove? You send me to a shitty map, pre-drop everything and feel cool for keeping me so long by throwing every pallet in existence. If they wanted to do 1v1 seriously they would let whoever they challenged choose everything, do you want to prove that you are better than me? Then I choose the map and the killer.
There are rules to 1v1s. Every killer has their own perk restrictions for both sides and specific maps that are balanced around them.

map seeding is a good idea, but whoever goes 2nd would have the advantage of knowing the seed. they'd have to allow both teams to get familiar with the map before playing to make it fair, i think?

That tweet about most online competitive games not catering to casual players over hardcore ones is flat out wrong. Every single community does this, no matter the game type. Go look at Overwatch or magic the gathering or league of legends or Valorant or World of Warcraft, or Street Fighter, or Fornite, or any game that has any kind of competitive scene, and realize that the competitive scene is MUCH SMALLER than the casual audience, which means the devs are 100% incentivized to make the game more fun for the 90% rather than the 10%. Hell, even the D&D players complain about the game being simplified too much for newer players, but it has worked to bring in way more eyes on the game. On top of that, the really good players in these games tend to also be the most entrenched players in the game, so the likelihood of you doing enough to actually piss them off into leaving is way, way less likely than you making one change and completely killing your casual scene, which in turn kills your playerbase and eventually your entire game. Dead by Daylight is no different. In fact, I can think of VERY FEW online games that specifically cater to the highest level of the game MORE than the casual audience.

I would rather watch Tru3’s reaction to Hens video on this. It feels like Tru3 is just feeling validated on his own opinion rather than having a conflicting opinion to reflect on. Not saying one opinion is right or wrong, but hearing both sides tells a bigger story.
Vid is old you will probably never see this, I am not a subscriber, I personally find you to be a little annoying, but I hold no hate towards you. I am a comp player that has quit the scene many times due to the ego of the players. I think the issue of the game is certain players have been winning for too long so they feel like they are on top of the world and if they lose to anyone they deem worse. It crumbles they view of how good they are.
I do think this video was nice because it humanized you a bit more. Most of what you said is relatable to the majority. I do think another issue with comp is that they bring comp to pubs. I understand doing a streak of sorts but, ego-ing afterwards is my issue. Its all about the attitude. I only do comp cause I'm bored with the current state of dbd and how even me playing nice results in an easy game with the killers i enjoy. I just like to be challenged.
But Tru3 I do have to say once again, I don't find you personally likable. You actually do remind me of the comp community in some ways because I see you not admitting to mistakes quite often and even getting over defensive or egotistical when someone points out that you just made a mistake. When KillaWhale mentioned you're easy to make fun of I believe that is why. But I don't think this should stop you from interacting with us in a healthy way. I honestly hope you do at some point talk with someone thats more level headed in the community and don't look at certain players to be the face of comp dbd. Trust me when I say that not all of us are fans of all the top players and the faces of the community.

ive been in the comp scene and me personally i haven't got a issue with pub players or comp players i like being able to play pubs and level up killers etc but i also like comp because you vs high skilled players. The comp scene in very different to high hour swf groups i think comp players are better at the game. Also some comp players can be cringe mainly the new comp teams however the top tier teams i think are just enjoying the game the way they want and i also think its enjoyable to watch. Just my opinion

And back then the killers were easier to use so it didn't take skill to use Billy so most games I could win in a few minutes. They could have made balancing much easier on themselves by survivors and perks 1 and the same. Meaning like Meg is the only one with sprint. If they did that they wouldn't have to go through all the combinations of perks to balance. They would just have to balance the survivors or killers. This would also fix the annoying perk grind that newer players have to deal with.
So make unbreakable deliverance and many other perks near useless all while limiting the variety and creativity? Got it!

But I can't even recommend this game to new players because of the massive grind for skills. If skills were tied to each character that would make a lot of things simpler. Balance, new players, returning old players. Like I don't want to grind my entire life to start a new game with my friends. The entire game is just a mess now.
