Thanks for sharing. Really enjoyed it. Ive been ridding most days for the last 2 months, i now find it uncomfortable driving a car with the windows up, love the connection to the elements. 👍

Keep ut the good work Jodie. Babysteps is the key, but sometimes you have to make little jumps.

Excellent video, thank you. A bit of a kick up the arse to maybe give it a try. Quick question though: you did a CBT on an automatic bike which I had considered doing so as not to be too overwhelmed on the day (having never ridden a bike before) but how easy is it to subsequently teach yourself to ride a geared bike on your own?

Thanks 😊 you should definitely go for it! I would say at least have a go on a geared bike when you go as it may just click for you but if not then do automatic. Most bike schools will let you book in for extra lessons to learn gears, I was lucky to have Nick to teach me. Alternatively if you have a quiet car park nearby you could just go there to practice by yourself after you pass on an automatic and trust me you’ll soon get the hang of it. Good luck and enjoy! 😁 - Jodie

It doesn´t matter what you drive as long you have fun. Yeah it can be dangerous but you can also walk over the street and get hit by an car or slip in the Bathroom and break your neck. But i can´t believe Jo is only 5.5 because i´m pretty sure she is slightly bigger than me. And thats the reason why 98% of the world uses good old metric because it´s more precise.

Jo, I loved hearing you too were excited to get to 24 mph and Nick was pushing you to go 35. I was excited to get to 45 and Pendley pushes me to get to 55 and 60. I haven't properly ridden on the streets since our move last month. Previously we rode around our small town and I was comfortable. We now live in a larger town that overlaps with a big city (well big for our area). So yesterday I rode around our tow house complex. Holy heck it was weird. I stalled like 3 times! Need to get back to riding for sure.
I found it interesting you're about an inch shorter than me and you weren't fond of the BMW310 height. I love mine, but even on my bicycle I tend to have it at a height where I'm on the balls of my feet.
I really appreciated this video and hope more women looking into riding will gain more confidence to try. 🩵

Good on you for getting back out there and practicing! 😊 Take as long as you need, it’s all good fun, make little targets and then enjoy the satisfaction of completing them! Thanks for sharing ☺️ - Jodie
