  • Triple Seven KING 2 review after +100 hours of flying
This review is about the King 2, a serial class paraglider and the evolution of the original King from Triple Seven paragliders. Designed for ambitious cross country and serial competitions
The King 2 in this video is size ML (90-108kg) and was flown from 105 to 108kg depending on weather conditions. It was flown with a Supair skyper and a Kortel Kanibal Race II harness. The latter was more appropriate for this wing because it had the additional stability needed when the days were very turbulent and the added performance in speed and glide.

Interesting that Zeno 2, my old Advance Omega 8 inflates better. I guess its related to lineset but not AR. If you have a look on BGD Díva, Davinci Opera both starts better. Probably a couple of nitinol rods could help.

Hey, thanks for your comment. I haven't tried the Omega 8, seems from 2010 when I looked online. On the other hand, the King 2 is very recent, the air openings in the leading edge are small compared with the pictures of your Advance wing, maybe that also makes a difference. I think you should try the King 2 if you get a chance, maybe you like it too. See you in the air!

Thanks for the video, when I started paragliding about 20 years ago their was a wing my friend had, when flying it, it would accordion or flex back and forth. I am not sure if this is happening to the King2 or it is just your video? Please advise.

Hey Peter, thanks! Good to hear you started long time ago. What wing are you flying nowadays? I have tried other recent cross country en-D wings, like the Zeno2, XC-Racer1 and Peak5. They all have some sort of flex feel that comes with higher aspect ratio. You notice right away if you step up from an EN-C certified wing.
The king 2 is the one I have flown the most. These flex movements shows up in ground handling and when you are in turbulent air, the structure of the wing is doing its work to equilibrate the internal pressure and keeping the wing open and flying. What I like about the king 2 it's how solid it is in turbulent air and thus avoiding collapse. In my experience, it's a very solid wing compared with others.

@@peterpadazopoulos2954 Hi Peter, when I mastered my en-C glider (Bonanza2) similar to your Cure and changed to the King2, I felt between 10 to 20% more demand in piloting skills. At the same time I was so impressed about the big gain in speed, better glide ratio and how soft and comfortable was to handle this en-D glider at accelerated flight. For me, it was a big step in performance and handling comfort of the speed system.
