That rakdos deck with the statuettes was a very cool brew. I'm a fan of it.
I love how this whole video was CGB basically saying, "Quit complaining about Invoke Despair, monoblack, you're still powerful."
Imagine being on ladder, you regonize CGB, he plays mono-black, you know CBG, you know he plays all the good cards, you envision the entire decklist in your mind, you got him!
CGB proceeds to slam down a Bloodvial Purveyor and pass turn.
This "mono-black 4-drop mystery spot montage" was a great video idea. Really unique for your videos, and a great way to keep us watching and waiting to see what crazy 4-drop is next on the depth chart. :)

The four drop exhibition was awesome! This and mono red draw have been my favorite recent videos by far. They are good decks with cheap land bases and most of the rares are good, staple cards that are safe crafts. Always love to see CGB versions of the top BO1 decks!

that rakdos vampire deck actually looked fun to play
I, too, absolutely loved that silly blood aggro deck. Simple as heck and centering on the kind of card a lot of people probably /axed/ from the usual Rakdos artifact sacrifice stuff. It's like, almost spiteful, like lol I'm gonna kick your butt with something everyone dismissed as a weird limited gimmick card
Draft chaff is truly CGB's kryptonite

That statue deck used to be my rakdos oni cult anvil deck. Meathook massacre made it incredibly strong before DMU came out
I noticed the angle you have set up for the camera and monitors makes you look like a intense/angry/evil mastermind. Pretty sure it's from the way you have to drastically off-center your eyes to be able to see the screens mixed with the slightly downward angle of the camera. Once I noticed couldn't stop seeing it. :)

Did you try Phyrexian Puppeteer? Pretty good 4 drop if you have some 123 CMC creatures and 2 life if you draw a 2nd card. Sleeper is great for this.

I wonder if they would change Bloodline Purveyor to, " your opponent cant sacrifice permanents during your turn" , if that might make him viable for the four drop slot? Maybe as a 2 of.

I'd say one factor that may push dross and purveyor (and even obliterator to an extent) over the rest is that they cant be removed profitably with a Nahiri's Warcrafting, A key removal spell in the mono red matchup that they need to run in order to not lose on the spot to sheoldred.

It surprises me that you don’t have any Urborg Scavengers in there at all. It’s such a good card considering it can remove a card any time it attacks and gains abilities. I love that one and swap out some Trespassers for a couple.

imho the only playable defiler is Defiler of Vigour, aka 5 mana green 6/6 trample with all your creatures get a +1/+1 counter when you play a green permanent spell (which to be fair, is basically all monogreen does/has lol)

I say the Deans in Strixhaven were way more useless than the Defilers. Defiler of vigor is a pretty good card. Mono green just has no early game right now.
Didn't he have lethal on that last game if he blitzed the underdog? 8 attackers each power >2, and only 5 blockers. 6 life left. What am I missing?

I don't think that invoke despair is broken. In previous standards it would have been fine. The problem is that we have perfect mana now. Slow lands, fast lands, triomes, pain lands...it is no problem having all colours all the time. If the BBBB would be a real downside meaning that you would have to play mono black to get access to invoke despair, only few would complain.
Karn can draw cards, you know.
What's worse than the set of defilers? Anyone else remember the old Bringers?

I use sometimes the red and the green defilers. The green one helps you cast big spells and buffs your creatures, and the red one helps you deal direct damage and cast all your small creatures practically for free.
The other ones... Yeah, they are pretty bad.
Someone complained mono-black was bad now? What? I'm running a consistent but jank mono-black aggro Phyrexian Tribal and still win over 60% on BO1 ladder.

The eidolon cycle in theros beyond death was close to as bad as the defiler having only one good card. The charms from ne capena where also pathetic along with the shrine cycle

IDK if its just me but I've traded out Sheoldred for Henrika before and I've been pretty impressed. Very flexible toolbox of a card, especially when you don't have a bunch of 'looting' effects to gain a bunch of free life with Sheoldred.
