She was certainly more interesting/entertaining in the challenge and runway than Hormona was imho
I’ve heard fans who have a backbone and who think for themselves say it lol but most the fan base have a heard mentality so ain’t gonna root for the forgettable queen
Pretty much what I commented... I think she's been overlooked on more than this. I'm so sick of how queens who do anything different than catty bitch tracks and super Kiki personality get presented as boring and forgettable. I think she did great this week.
@@pembrokelove it’s how drag race is now tbh it’s way too political, I say this as a POC aswell but it seems as though white queens like acacia are over looked not only by production but the fan base as a whole.
I see Arrietty as more of Daya Betty than Jan, she’s pissed at her placements almost got sent home and I’m hoping she’ll turn it out and go all the way

I think the radio show was meant to parody an old SNL skit called Delicious Dish with Ana Gasteyer and Molly Shannon. Having watched that old skit growing up I got it and thought it was an amusing reference.

I am so happy to see SOMEONE giving Acacia some attention... I think she's been overlooked because people are so focused on her early, "poor" showing - which I don't even think was even a particularly poor showing as someone who is sick to death of the same predictable, high-energy, noguing, original "bitch tracks". I thought Acacia brought something different, admirable, and entertaining. Middle of the pack, maybe, but definitely safer than some of what we saw.
I’m really stanning Acacia. I hope she’ll get flowers soon from the show!
I do think the tops should've been Onya, Suzie and Acacia, but the win could've been any of the three. A three-way coin flip. They all delivered both on the runway and in the challenge, and if it was a triple win it would've been deserved (even if it would be a cop-out).
Btw I just think Acacia deserves the flowers that she's been deprived of so far in this whole competition. She didn't deserve to be in the bottom for the premiere, showing an actual talent vs the same track lipsyncs we see EVERY talentshow, and she deserved to be at the top/have a win this week. They want to give her the "filler" edit SO BAD and it's just sad to see.

I agree with you that the writing in this- and in all RPDR sketches- is imbalanced. If the material isn't funny, then there's not much any Queen can do with it. Not all parts are written equally. I don't see how anyone could've made either of the 'Neanderthal Karen' characters stand out enough to win the challenge. The writing wasn't there. Still, I absolutely agree that Suzie, Hormona, and Onya did the best in the challenge, with Jewels being a close runner up. They all understood the assignment and managed to make their material sound better than it actually was. That's really what the challenge is about, after all- the Queens using their talents to make unfunny material funny. And in this challenge, Suzie was miles above everyone else.
But as for Kori, Arrietta, Crystal, Lexie, Acacia, and Lydia -- I think they all floundered in the challenge. I even thought Sam did a better job than they did..
Agree with everything you said about how this episode had dozens of missed opportunities and the judging process was so weird! My takes on it:
(1) Arrietty was terrible in the challenge, but the runaway should've saved her.
(2) Tops should've been are Acacia, Onya and Jewels, with either Acacia or Jewels winning.
(3) Bottoms should've been Crystal, Sam and Lydia with the latter two lip syncing.
(4) I didn't like this week's song choice.
(5) I didn't laugh a single time through this whole ordeal: the writing was just abismal. 🤣🤣🤣

Full agree on Crystal. She was weak in the challenge and also the runway, which was honestly surprising.
When someone is doing so well and then has an abysmal week, I think it should be commented on in the same way they would have in Project Runway or Top Model. Not just given a pass because the dossier says they’re top 4.
I agree Acacia was very good int he challenge and I thought she'd be high! TBH when they called tops and bottoms i thought Suzie was in the bottom and Arietty was in the top LOL (not because I thought Arietty was amazing but she took the notes from last time and has a good runway as well)
My Tops would be Lana, Hormona, and Acacia (although I can see why she wasn't because I personally found the wig too much/ugly with the rest of the outfit. Maybe a sleep pony in the same split dye would have worked better). Lana was the highlight for me she was hilarious and that walk and her sillyness was unexpected from her. I thought Crystal, Lydia, and Kori OR Lexi should have been the bottom. For me the news sketch was a flop and Kori wasn't very convincing in her role lol she was just playing Kori with some random noises here and there.
Edit: Oh and I don't think Arietty is going to be the Jan of the season I think she might have the redemption storyline and win the design challenge next week. I kinda think Crystal will be the Jan consistently doing well never getting her flowers and then going home
I could fully see Crystal becoming the Jan this season!
I think Kori is funny as heck just by being her, but absolutely she could have been in the bottom instead this week.
