I tried mapping a ServiceNow Demand to a custom work item "Demand" in Azure DevOps but it seems to work only one way from Azure to ServiceNow and not the other way. Any ideas how to trigger ServiceNow to send the record over to Azure ?
Hi. Out-of-the-box, only Stories and Epics are being created from ServiceNow to Azure. Please follow these 3 steps to enable this on a custom table: 1. To allow a record export to Azure, add the table on the business rule. Here's how to do that: docs.servicenow.com/bundle/rome-it-business-management/page/product/agile-azure-integration/task/allow-import-and-export-of-attachments-on-custom-table-maps.html 2. This is customization, but for demand, you need to add an extra field “external_identifier”. This is an important field as it links it to the work item ID in Azure. 3. Map the newly added “external_field” to System.Id. And there you go, now it should work :) Hope this answers your question! ^Kirztine

I need something similar except it should be with the Incident module. New Incident creates a new ADO story and when the story gets closed, Incident gets resolved (or vice-versa). Do you have a tutorial on that?
Hi Vitex. Thank you for your question. No, to my knowledge, we don't have a tutorial on that. But, I will run your question by the experts. Hope to have an answer soon! ^Jantien
Hi Vitex, You can achieve that connection between the ADO and Incident by using this Microsoft Azure integration in Agile Module application and enabling the Unified Backlog application in ServiceNow. With the unified backlog, each scrum master/product owner needs to manually create a visual task board and use the group associated to the Azure project we have set up in Microsoft Azure integration in the Agile Module. Any incident from the Triage board can be added on the backlog. Once added, it will automatically create a story in both Agile and In ADO. Good luck with setting this up!
