I had to google how to make netherite armor for this.

TAS, or a "Tool Assisted Speedrun", basically just means I used various tools to create a "perfect" speedrun. In this case, that means I used slowdown and savestates. But sometimes different tools are used too. And more generally:
Q: Why did the subtitles/advancements/things go so fast?
A: The tools I use to slow down the game work by slowing down the tickrate. Some graphical things, such as those stated above and a few others, are independent of the tickrate, and so they look faster than they should.
Q: This isn't fair!
A: Okay.
Q: This is cheated.
A: No.
Q: Why spliced? and why does the chat act janky?
A: I'm working with what I have, and since I can't play back minecraft TASes, what you see is the raw footage of me creating the TAS. Simply sped up to normal spee and put together.

A Few Things To Improve:
-Getting beneath the water faster on the first jump
-Not bonking on shores(common issue)
-Circling first tree instead of bonking
-Actual fast crafting
-Getting into ocean faster
-Solving swim angle
-(Probably built in routing issues there)
-Swimming more efficient to ocean shore
-Getting into river faster
-Not exiting as fast as possible???
-Letting piglin barter on top bridge
-Better netherite routing in general
-Placing blocks better
-For the love of all that is holy do not go back and forth when the debris is still cooking ITS NOT DOING ANYTHING
-Yeah okay the rest is just mining idk mine faster doofus
-Biggest issue was just routing netherite to not wait for 8 years at the end that ones a big oof
-Okay yeah that's all I can think of in 5 minutes plus its been forever

Hey, I've been holding onto this footage for a couple months just because I wasn't satisfied with the performance, but it's been like 4 months and I haven't redone it, so I decided I'd release it anyway.
To make up for it though I left a list of things I know I can do better in the description, just for the future and so I can help improve myself.

I think another thing you might improve is parallelizing smelting: using multiple furnaces instead of one. Not sure if this is actually worth it since mining for ancient debris also takes quite some time.
I also thought about using blast furnace, but getting it probably would take way too much time to pay off.

That's pretty crazy. Even though it was assisted, the strats used were pretty crazy. Especially in the bastion, I've never seen nor thought about doing that before

@@liamjohnson9932 yea thats what the SSG stands for(set seed game) on the other hand a RSG is a Random Seed game. ssg means he knows the location of everything he needs for the run so he just runs a baritone(or some other auto play program) to do it as fast as mechanically possible for him.
The amount of people calling this a cheated run amazes me. Its like nobody has ever heard of a set seed speedrun or a tool assisted speedrun

This can be improved a lot as I have had a 3 netherite treasure bastion before, so with a even luckier one or a double treasure the smelting of ancient debris could be cut out entirely. Regardless of that, for this seed the tas is amazing. You really pushed the limit for it.
for sure! I reckon it’s not too absurd to get a treasure bastion with full diamond armor and 4 ingots, unfortunately Im not smart enough to find that though haha

While this certainly is impressive, it's not done in 3:39. You can tell by looking at the enchanted items that the footage is speed up(among other things), but the timer goes in real-time, esp. since the video itself is 4 minutes long. What is the actual Tool Assisted Speedrun time?
Basically he added the timer after he sped up the video recording. The time was faked.

@@Oscar31YT it very clearly was. Using tools to temporarily slowdown the game and hit frame perfect timings for certain things are common in TAS. However, they have to be played back in real-time for the actual run recording. The video was very clearly sped up, and is therefore fake.
