I just spent a few days training at Jimmy Lewis and your shadow during your hard brake at 1:14, showed the same form they were teaching us to maximize braking. Push straight back parallel to the seat and lift your butt to drive down the back wheel. I had to correct a bad habit from downhill mountain biking where my butt would lift first and go down at the end - from doing downhills where I lift off to get behind the bicycle seat.
Thanks for your video tips, hope to use them soon. If the weather is good this weekend we will test them out!!! I can't wait to get my daughter a bike, she had one but dropped it and the kickstart shaft busted the case on the inside. We had just went and got her a pair of boots and planned to begin trail rides. Unfortunately she has not been able to ride with us. I feel that you would be a great inspiration for her. Thanks again for your videos!!!
You definitely saved the best for last. Look ahead. If you focus on what's directly in front of you, mistakes will be made. That's especially true when you are in a racing situation. Too many times have I gotten in trouble from getting fixed on another riders rear tire. I just do my best to look past the rider in front of me and it really improved my performance. It also helps to see a passing line that you would not have seen otherwise. Liked and subscribed 🤘
Nice vid Megs, I always love your flow. We are ripping it up in St George this week and having to use all the training you gave us with all the ledges. You will have a blast in May!
Nice track..I guess I am going to have to travel to start getting on nice trails like this.BTW awesome video. I am newer to this sport and was wondering how can I find tracks like this.
I tried to find the bloopers vid mentioned in grimpossible waterfall obstacle 2018, no luck. However I did find out you are still making videos, good for you. I got back into bikes 3 years ago, started watching enduro cross training videos. Did you know your a bit of a celebrity here in BC....... well the world. 🤣 I was looking forward to meeting some of the heroes at the training sessions but stupid COVID showed up about the same time I got ready. I moved back to the island last year, the closest event is whiskey creek. I’m stoked. Stupid COVID.
Good videos as always. It appears the front wheel is sometimes going wide or at least where I would want it (pushing). I would suggest checking or maybe adding a turn on the rear sag because it appears you may have too much to get the bike to turn in better.
looks like you have some grip there. If you ever get the chance to ride on the pea gravel in Western Australia in the dry take it. Its so different trying to ride on ball bearings
Is it always better to be in a higher gear? Is sacrificing the instant torque (in case you had to clear a rock or hill or something) worth being smoother where its flat?
Do you use a flywheel weight on your bike? I currently have a 97 cr250r that’s my woods bike and debating if I should get one or not. Awesome videos by the way!
Great video. Really liked #4. Will have to try that. Don’t necessarily agree with tip #2. I think I just need to be in the gear that lets me be smooth. The guy in front is a good rider. On the dark orange(?) bike.
WOW! That´s the most beautiful and flowy singletrack I´ve seen so far. Unfortunately such tracks are nowhere to find in central Europe´s publicly accessible land. I fear I´ve to come to US to get the pleasure of such trails. ? is the track on privat or public land?
if you want to get faster, enter local races. Texas has some organizations which put on great races. Also with not much public riding areas, the races are a chance to ride in other places as most are on private ranches. glad I no longer live in Tx but I do miss the races
This is why when you ride Red River you need to ride with someone that knows there way around to find the sweet stuff like this. I used to love to do Enduros where as the club would pick a lot of fast and flowy stuff. It hard to find and piece together as it crosses roads and 4 wheeler trail.
Those are pretty flowy trails, but I would have to say that North West New Mexico has trails with more flow. The trails here are not as tight but with more flow.
Many videos (or others) you hear the throttle on/off loud & frequently. Not you girl.💪🏼 Inputs (throttle, brake, clutch) that are not smooth affect the chasiss & ultimately traction in a bad way.
0:15...not sure if that was intentional, but it sure was sweet! 😎👍

Great footage, and well edited (eg not over worked). Looks like an incredibly fun trail!
Great tips! I'm on my 2nd season of single track, 42 years old...just wishing I started earlier! Love this sport.
Great video. Thanks for sharing, Megs!

That trick the person in front of you did to swing the rear around the corner in the air was the coolest thing I’ve ever seen!
The side hill tips were great! Was just sitting here thinking about them and how to improve. Thank you for posting those.
Bloody good riding Meg. Enjoy
As an old slow dude I’m always wondering where you fast riders are in a hurry to get to 😎🤣. Absolutely amazing riding ✌️
Me
In the infamous words of the great apple jam : "just because we ride fast, doesn't mean we're in a hurry"
I love your videos, they help me progress so much!!!

I tend to scan back and forth. An off-camber slippery root can sneak in on you.
Nice job Ms. Braap!! 👍👍

Need to find me a nice flowy trail like that! Thanks Meg, nice riding!
Always tuned in all the way from Trinidad 🇹🇹
You should share some braking tips you sure make last second stopping look easy
Just insanely good on so many types of terrain. Always fun to watch.
if your ever in Colorado stop by pitkin it has some amazing trails its by Gunnison and Crested butte
That dude caught some serious air jumping off that log. Great video. Thanks for sharing.
That’s some fast n sweet riding there Megan. It’s great to see how flowing u make it, something for me to work on! Cheers 🍻

Just look for BLM land and national forests
Me thinks Meg should try a GNCC. Bet she would be on the box! Supposed to be 69 at RR Wed! Welcome to Texas!
Almost as nice at the CCC (Cycle Conservation Club), trails in Baldwin Michigan, but not quite. :)
Will be out there soon.
Although I ride a lot slower and more technical stuff I still find your tips very helpful.
Thank you, Günter from Nürnberg/Germany
Holy shit you’re amazing through the trees. Very impressive. My family loves you’re tutorials. 👍

Great trail. Nearly fell out of my chair following you around the corners and weighting the floor.

Nice tips… thank you. Is the blue bike a TM Racing?
Thanks for the video helped a lot. One question where is this riding area?
Is this Muenster tx?
Great video from RRMT. Megs: are your bars full width or cut down?

1:13 No more eating trees, Megs!

Another insanely great video, hope you are well my love 💓 cheers 🍻 doll.
Number 7, get fit.
That tree came out of nowhere!
nice riding Megs ,,,, go 2 bangers
Dope riding I love it
Do riders ride like this in unfamiliar tracks?
If so I suck
great tips

Where is this trail based on can you please let me know.
I so wish we had some singletrack we could play on near me
Haulin!!!

Hey, what happen to you? Miss your videos.
Flooooowww

Супер клёво👍
I love this type of single-track. I'm not a fan of the slow torture crawl rides
You almost had mesquite for breakfast
HONDA
Looks awfully dry for feb 2021.
