Welllll...... by the time I got it built, and in a somewhat working fashion, the peas were pretty much done for the year. I ran a few through it just to see if it would even work, and it did.... for the most part. Since the rollers are wooden, it doesn't always have enough grip to pull them through. So I need to put something on those to give them a bit more grab. Unfortunately, I don't think there will be peas in the garden this year, as I've been too busy working on restoring my log house.
Hmm, how about getting an old wringer off an old washing machine? They do work! A new one is expensive.... find an old used one. www.amazon.com/gp/search/ref=sr_1_1_hso_sc_smartcategory_2?rh=n%3A15356111%2Ck%3Awringer&keywords=wringer&ie=UTF8&qid=1496011316&sr=8-1-acs
Whoa... those aren't cheap!! I've heard of using them, but never had a chance to try it. Guess I'll have to keep an eye out and see if I can't pick one up at an auction or something.
Whaaaaaaaaat!!!!! I have GOT to build me one of those..... I can see it now... "In this 1357 part series, I am going to briefly explain how to build a really awesome portable pea sheller" lol
a demo would have been nice
Four years in and there is still no money shot / demo. So I guess it didn't really work out all that well...
It never crossed your mind to demo it or we supposed to know how and assume it works
Hey wait a minute... where is the DEMO???
