This movie and this performance single handedly made Bill Hader a better romantic comedy leading man than Matthew McConaughey and Ryan Gosling combined. If I was kidding, I would include some emojis after saying that - and look at that, I didn't! Well, maybe one 💘 He's just so sincere and caring, is probably secretly one of the most maturely communicating love interests in a rom-com ("-and we'll talk about it!" has made women visibly swoon across the country), and his authentic conversational sense of humor mixed with his sillier side at times is very attractive. Hollywood: take note - we really don't give a shit about the Magic Mikes or the James Bonds. Give us the Dr. Aaron Connors.
This articulates why I watch this movie! I sometimes crave watching it, then wonder why I’m watching it (because it’s kinda corny and improvy and Amy is a little abrasive sometimes) but this is why. He’s so sexy and grounded and mature but still goofy it’s crazy how great his character is here
I have a strong dislike for amy schumer, like anyone with common sense, but i might give this movie a chance bc bill hader. Like, he's not even that conventionally attractive, but he's so naturally charming that it more than makes up for it, so he's essentially hotter than the vast majority of typical rom com male leads
