  • This week my channel celebrated its 3rd Birthday and it has been a crazy 3 years. You may have noticed that I've taken breaks during these last 3 years and I thought I owed it to you guys to explain why I didn't upload much in 2023. I want to apologise for the lack of consistency and say a huge thank you to those who have continued to tune in over the last year. Things are going to change around here, i've learnt some lessons about myself and my relationship with Social Media and you're going to see some positive changes and far more consistency moving forward!

A sincere apology for how sporadic this channel has been at times but this marks the start of a new mindset for the channel - i'm going to make regularly uploading videos sustainable. Thanks to everyone who has subscribed and continues to watch my channel - I appreciate everyone who has stuck with me over the last 3 years! 🙏🏻

Keep at it Chris! Been watching your videos for a couple of years now and was a little concerned when you disappeared. It’s not easy to keep plugging away but you create great content and you’ll reach a critical mass sooner or later, I’m sure of that.

Really appreciate you man, it's great to know that you've been following the channel for a number of years now, that's really cool! I hope you feel like the videos are getting better and I hope you'll enjoy what's to come! Thanks buddy, TH-cam is a hard thing to predict, I certainly don't want to chase the numbers - I just love the guitar and making videos, but it would be nice to see the channel continue to grow 👌🏻.
Thanks for taking the time to comment man, really means a lot!

Glad you are back, Chris. I worried when you were gone. Your channel has become one of my favourites: I enjoy your integrity on top of your excellent playing. I've been around "guitar youtube" for a while and I'm tired of the pretentious Rhetts and Pauls out there. Looking forward to see more from you. Do it at your pace...

As a recent subscriber I've not been aware of a lot of the 'background' here and I'm sorry to hear that you've had your own personal challenges to ovecome in the last year. I firmly believe in the healing power of the creative arts, be it guitar, photography or any other absorbing activity of a similar nature. How one deals with the mental side of health problems can be complex and take one by surprise. I like to think I have a positive attitude overall, but some health issues, lockdowns and work related pressures have all caused varying degrees of anxiety and that knocked me for six as I wasn't expecting that struggle. It's ongoing and I'm continually developing coping strategies.
It's great to hear your plans going forward, and I'm looking forward to that as I've been enjoying browsing your back catalogue and really like your approach and attitude. Just pace yourself a bit. Burn out is no fun.

Thanks so much for the support Peter! I'm with you, music and art is such a blessing, they're things that will always be with me, it's taken me until now to understand fully my relationship with them. I'm sorry to hear you've struggled with your mental health at times too, it's certainly been a struggle for me this year but i'm glad to hear you're working through it! Wish you all the best my friend!
Thanks for leaving such a thoughtful comment, always great to see you in the comments and I hope you'll enjoy what's to come here on the channel 🙏🏻
