      True. thanks for bringing it up. it was a mistake in communication. Baking powders main ingredient is sodium bicarbonate, but there are other ingredients as well. sorry about that.

    Thank chaps.
    I have started to use bicarbonate soda in powder form. I use 1/2grams on an empty stomach.
    My urine has change colour, to a lighter stream, and over all, which is the strangest part. I just feel better. I am currently dealing with a mold infection at home, and this along with Lugols iodine has been pretty amazing.

    Interesting guys and I just subscribed but have a question. I understand Sodium bicarb has around 274mg Na / gm of the sodium bicarb so if I’m consuming 5g/hr this equates to 1370mg Na/hr. This may seem really basic question but if I’m loading with sodium bicarb it looks like I can do away with any other sodium salt electrolytes correct?? Also does that 5g/hr apply to anyone as I’m a 71kg cyclist but I have some cycling friends 61kg and another 95kg??

    Can it be used as a recovery aid or to decrease muscle wastage after hard training ??

    • @nduranznutrition
      @nduranznutrition  ปีที่แล้ว

      Very likely not. But keep in mind that some degree of muscle damage is positive as it triggers adaptive responses. But when it comes to recovery as such, carbohydrates and protein are most important

    • @nduranznutrition
      @nduranznutrition  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      An athlete requires an intake of 0.2 to 0.3 g of sodium bicarbonate per kilogram of body mass before exercise and 5 g per hour during exercise.

      Creatine doesn't help address the acidity that comes from the lactic acid. It is helpful for other reasons, though
