Thank you, always seems like there is something to improve but I feel we are getting it. We mainly use black Angus on our heifers cause the calves have so much vigor. We only have a hand full of black Angus cows and we cross them with our simmental bull. Calves are awesome.

Beautiful calf, by the way. I love the Shorthorns too. I breed some rare Irish Moiled cattle here in Ireland. They are smaller than the Shorthorn, and are a dual purpose breed, but have beautiful markings.
I love watching Cole and Brian. We use to clean out regularly. We tried one year doing it this way and we found it worked just as well. Everybody finds a way that works for them, in our climate this works for us with zero consequences.
I liked watching the last 7 cows in the barn. Well bedded up. They are calm, comfortable chewing their cud , while in labour. Calves are big and strong. It shows the relationship you have with your cattle, as they are accepting of you. I’m in Penetanguishene Ontario . Cheers!
Frozen, malfunctioning waterers require a lot of maintenance. A simple float valve can drive a rancher crazy and run up a huge water bill if it's not working right. Good work with everything, tough weather to deal with calving.
Love the care and effort y’all give for all your cows. It’s very nice yiu have so much help there on the farm also. All very capable hands. Still saw y’all have the most beautiful cattle around. God bless and take care.

Hey, thank you. We have some pure bred simmental and shorthorn and also crosses of the 2 with some full blood.

Thank you. Lol I did find my tagger but it took me a couple minutes. I love the shorthorn for getting cool markings as well.

@kismutt1 we have a hydrant in the barn to give them water in tubs. So yes we have water in the barn.

14.40, I want summer. With the cold weather comes a higher level of management though,, I have found, no slacking off.
Our cold weather also helps keep disease pressure down in my opinion.

We calve out 132 this year. 20 left to go. 58 bull calves, 57 heifers, with twins we are over 100% so far.
