    Great build, love your attention to detail. What did you used for the rca ? Signal for the amp from the factory head unit ?

  • @jeterplaysshort
    @jeterplaysshort 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Pete you know I'm a fan of your work did you run into a time crunch on the amp rack? Cable management is the difference in this being a "six" and a "century " on this build.

      You know it’s a bit like having your favourite meal cooked by grandma on Sunday! You can always rely on her that you’ll be well fed and you’ll lick all ten of your fingers. Her presentation is not like a Michelin star chef’s, but you don’t pay for that, you just want the awesome taste in your mouth.
      Same is happening here. This wiring is not for competition highest levels, it won’t win a beauty contest, but it’s honest. Connections are properly terminated, ferrules used all around, small connectors soldered and protected. There’s nothing to be ashamed for. This build already had many many extra hours put into even if the customer couldn’t afford it. When they can afford to have fancy wiring, then we’ll do it, but till then we rather focus on what makes a system sound better and that’s where we put more effort, because at the end of the day you want have ear 👂 orgasm. 💪🔊🔊

    Could you make a video going indept of most systems. How it works, how it should be wired etc. Cant find any videos on yt or patreon on this subject, and so few videos online explaining this...

      Hi,
      When it comes to wiring, what part are you really interested in or need more information about?
      We have quite few videos showing boot builds, explaining the whole installation process of amplifiers and DSPs. I’ll make a playlist for them, so you can watch all those videos in one list.

      Thanks alot. Im thinkinh about the Most25 system audi has in alot og their cars. I've done a few builds in audi b8/b8.5 and im now going to build in a c7. But no one has ever told me how the Most/mosfet system works.
      I was struggeling with integrating a mobridge dsp (used it to connect me to the most system and get analog output from it to the amps) but it had some issues...So maby you could share some knowledge about how the most system works and what to look out for when buying equipment for that kind of use.
      For my next build i will try the helix converter (seen you use it alot) and hopefully it will run fine with the rest og the system.
      As i said, i havent found anyone going in dept on forums etc. so if you have the interest and time to teach us about it, im sure alot of us would be greatfull!

    Hello, what speakers did you use instead of the tweeters?
    What size are the new speakers?
    Did you have to modify something in that place to insert the speaker?

    • @pssound9749

      We used the HAT L2SE wideband as shown at the end of the video in pictures too. Nothing had to be modified, it just needed a custom mounting frame.

    How much better is it to bring the kickbass out of the doors? Are ALL doors rattle prone? If you deaden everything in a BMW door, will it not be rattle free?

    • @pssound9749
      @pssound9749  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No door is rattle free. Always compare the installation to a home audio cabinet, some of which also have matrix bracing or aluminium core structure, which is rattle free. Now think about a car door again…

    Hi Peter, I know that Hertz is not your first choice (except whole while ago in the Honda 2000.3 as front sub), but the ML.3 where quite well received. What’s your opinion on the 1800.3, 700.3 and the 280.3’s. What are specific their shortcomings against by you preferred drivers within a completely well done installation and tuning in your opinion?

    • @pssound9749
      @pssound9749  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      In this one we had to use the speaker levels first, which are not great, but prepared the car for MOST25 integration. You need to get the HU coded for hifi, so it outputs signal on the fibre optic too, then use something like an Audison Bit DMI or Helix SDMI25 and you can also get clean, optical signal from the HU.

      You need MOST25 integration, so you get optical signal out of the HU, then you can run that into the DSP.
