In some ways, by not being limited to being just one person, Luka can be more human than any flesh-based performer (to coin a phrase), as can the other virtual performers, though Luka is still the best of all.
I think one of the reason that Lukas stage performance seems so human compared to the other Vocaloids. Is mostly due to the fact that when Crypton animates they animate based on their Vocaloids age. The amount of high quality animation given at these concerts is usually represented by what the Vocaloids age limit is I guess. Luka being can only around 20, and being represented as a mature husky female give her that more human and more natural type of a performance, while Miku being 16, Rin and Len being 14 are given the more childlike and cutesy animation seeing as if anyone of that age were actually performing they'd act up or fool around on stage. I think it's perfect that they give Luka a sort of professionalism since she hasn't really shown a lot. But that's just what I think.
Don't use "husky" as a description of Luka's voice tho. Husky is generally used in relation to males, not to females. It makes it sound like you're talking about a cross dresser. Crypton and Sega aren't using that definition anymore. It was a mistake to begin with. I believe they were trying to describe her "sultry" feminine maturity. There was nothing in this song to justify labeling her voice as husky. Sultry better defines her. One other thing, when Miku goes low, THAT can be considered "husky" as hell

I know Miku is the big star among the Vocaloids, and so I understand why Crypton is putting everything behind her to break in the West (the Americas and Europe). But, I think Luka is a better voice for Western tastes: lower, warmer, huskier. This being said: thank you to Just_Muzzic for providing the subtitles and posting here. Sometimes I go back to songs like this thinking that it was just a phase I had and that I wouldn’t like them anymore now that I’ve grown up. Instead, I love them even more. I still love the same genre of music and these are still straight bangers. Sure the voices are different from anything else out there, but it’s not bad per se, and I kinda find them catchy. I think this is still my favorite live vocaloid performance. Miku's performance of Hajimete no Oto at Magical Mirai 2015 almost gave this a run for it's money for how interactive and moving it was, but Luka's performance here just seems so real and I feel like it has the potential to justify vocaloid as a serious musical medium to outsiders.
This, Hajimete No Oto from Magical Mirai 2015, ODDS&ENDS from 2013, Sweet Devil from 2013, and Unhappy Refrain from 2013 are my all time favorite performances from these concerts. *I Really* hope they bring this song back, either this year, or next year.

I think this is still my favorite live vocaloid performance. Miku's performance of Hajimete no Oto at Magical Mirai 2015 almost gave this a run for it's money for how interactive and moving it was, but Luka's performance here just seems so real and I feel like it has the potential to justify vocaloid as a serious musical medium to outsiders.
This, Hajimete No Oto from Magical Mirai 2015, ODDS&ENDS from 2013, Sweet Devil from 2013, and Unhappy Refrain from 2013 are my all time favorite performances from these concerts.
*I Really* hope they bring this song back, either this year, or next year.

It's impressive how expressive she seems to be in this video. I always felt Vocaloids acted and sounded a bit flat in terms of mimicking human emotions. But I'll be damned if I don't get some REAL feelings out of this one. Facial expressions and her voice are perfect. Very impressed.
