As another lifelong BG fan (having listened to them since 2004 and gone to 4 concerts since 2007), I enjoyed listening to both parts of your analysis as talking to someone with as much passion and knowledge for the band as I have. Agree with 80% of your takes and disagree with 20%, like a good conversation should go. Hope you keep doing videos for your channel, the DT one (another similar taste we have) was the thumb that attracted me to it. Thanks!

Amazing analysis! Even though my favourite albums are in the vein of ANATO, NIME and TGM I have to say that I completely agree about everything said in terms of production/mixing… Their older albums like BTRM needs a really serious remix and I’m really happy that they finally changed Charlie Bauerfiend with Joost❤

Charlie works a lot better when he's working with someone else in my opinion, which is why the god machine sounds so good!

@@quagsiremetalhead1401yes, he still did the production and I think that the improvement is finally here, but hope he won’t any mixing for BG ever 😅

One of my biggest musical what ifs (aside from deaths) is what if Sascha Paeth produced ANATO? I love it to bits, but I think that he (especially w/ Miro) does a better job of making big soundscapes that don't feel as...sterile, I guess.
That's a pretty specific what if, I'll admit.
