15:45 I'm almost afraid to map out my schedule, but it is a great idea

😅 it can be a bit intimidating. Made me realise how much time I was spending on my phone/watching TV series. But I need some time to unwind and do those things sometimes, brain off time, but doing this made me see I have more time than I think if I'm more strategic with my time use.
      Give it a go! 💚

Love this and seeing what you have planned for the year. Hope you had a wonderful holiday and by the looks of things it's already a creative new year. I'll be going back into draw a box too this year

Happy New year! My holiday has been lovely, my eldest is 2 now so understood the idea of Christmas more and we got out to some light shows and bits so been a really cosy December. Hope you had a nice time as well!

@louisecreatesart aww thanks for watching louise, snap back at you too, watch all your videos 🤗 I have a 2 year old too, her personality is really coming out now, fun most of the time but she is starting to see how far she can push things which can be challenging 🙈 need to remind myself to breathe and speak calmly 😅😂

Yes! 2 is a testing age isn't it. I love how they know their own mind now but the testing of boundaries can be so challenging. 🙃! We do gentle parenting but oh my god it can be tough sometimes. Were giving him options which is working for now, for example my son is always trying to dart up the stairs at grandma's house (no stair gate fits) so I will say ' you can walk down the stairs yourself or I can carry you back down'. He will always choose the independant option. But after the fourth time repeating this calmly, in my head in screaming 'come down yourself before I fireman carry you down screaming 😅'. I love his determination my god 24/7 and with a 7 month old can be intense!

@louisecreatesart hi 5 to that Louise, i am laughing and nodding as I read through! Totally resonate, but you win on intensity, how has it been 7 months already! 🫢 go you for still doing life drawing 🫶🍾

Yay! Always happy to see a video from you. Don't stress over them though. Life happens all the time and with small kids in your life there is a lot of life happening and you have illness in the family too. Very draining. Good you take time for you.
I love plans in the beginning of the year. They are so clean and organised. No changes, no doodles in the margins 😂
    Happy new year.
    Much love❤

Thanks for the lovely message I really do appricate it 💜
For some reason the new year plan is just extra satisfying isn't it! I've also done my deep clean of my house and sorted all my art supplies back into place ready for use yesterday and today so really does feel like a fresh start for the year all round. 😊
      Happy new year!

Hi, Louise! I _wish_, *wish,* *WISH* that this video had a much larger audience, as it's packed with down-to-earth, sensible advice put forward in a clear and manageable format!
As you put up your time sheet - 15:53 - I was thinking of all the other things a wife, mother of two under-fives, wage-earner, house-keeper, and in your case, nurse, has to do. Then you put up a screen which added all of those - 20:21 - and it covers quite a few of those thoughts, though not all.
That you have found time in the last year to create art is amazing, and I'm glad that you have. It _is_ so easy for parents, carers, wage earners to forego the time for themselves, to feel that it's pointless to plan in things that get them away from the responsibilities for a while, to feel guilty at even thinking of it, and you have shown us that it is possible (and essential for our health and well-being!) to have something to get us away from these for a while (even if at times, part of our mind may still be occupied with what may be happening at home).
Thank you for being you, and in all your busyness, finding time to do this for us.
And so to wish you and the family a less crazy, more peaceful and fulfilling, 2024. 😊

It would be nice for it to reach a larger audience but honestly, I never expected this many subscribers to begin with 😳!
Yes! I thought id add that cheeky slide in there as a little highlight for why it can feel like we have no time sometimes! If i tried to write out a list of all the things i do in a week it would probably take me hours 😅.
Thats so true, its very easy to give time away to others but can be hard telling ourselves to give some time back to ourselves. Ive had to leave lifedrawing or pottery early on occasion if my youngest needed me but most of the time i get the full session and even just a few hours give me a mental and emotional reset to go back home fresh and ready for snuggles/chaos.
Thanks for your lovely comment as always! Happy new year!

What a great video, thank you! I think I will end up watching it a couple of times for inspiration and to get my own mind maps going

Glad you found it helpful lovely! I do mind maps for all the topics I want to work on and it's so helpful. I have a few others I add to my tasks from painting/pottery/sewing etc and it really makes things feel achievable and gives me direction.

This was such a good idea! I like the Arts + Craft. It gave me the idea to do this for myself in notecards.

😊 oh that's a good idea! I do like having a physical copy. It's far to easy to just type it out then forget about it. Having it written down and ideally somewhere displayed helps me keep it present in my mind!

Happy New Year! I do enjoy that many of your videos devolve into arts n crafts in presentation, makes it much more approachable :)

😅 Well I'm very glad to hear its enjoyable and approachable. Cutting up paper is really relaxing weirdly! I even used my sons zig zag scissors, what's wrong with me 🤣
      Happy new year!
