I love watching the MM, every year if I get the chance. If I miss it, I always look all the videos up and watch later. To me Mark is the best chanter I have ever listened to. His voice is incredible and the beats he keeps, especially on the more 'energetic' ones, makes my blood sing almost as much as the bagpipes of my ancestry.
Aloha, mahalo, for keeping our heritage, alive, our Polynesian islands, are truly a gift frm Jehovah. May our hertiage continue, to be a beauty of inner and outer. Mahalo for all our various people, Were truly a gift. All races are too. Keep encourging, showing educational,of all islands. We are many.Small, Large, its all beautiful 🙅♀️❤
Beautiful Watching this. Thank you for sharing. I would love to know the name of the group that was in the Black and Yellow attire and the Song that was peformed. I love the final song i love her voice.
What I like about this is that there seems to be a place for every kind of girl here. Yes, the usual slender young flower is represented. But there is also a place for the lush, juicy, well rounded toothsome wenches as well!
The first song sounded so familiar, I’m more than certain I grew up to that song.. I just can’t remember the tittle.. does anybody know the tittle? I could be mistaken I might be confusing with another song but I doubt it.. 🤔🤷🏽♀️
megxmarie15 the first set is a medley . It starts with "Mele Ohana" then right as it comes to the English verse in the song they switched over to "Ka Nohona Pili Kai". Both songs are by Keali'i Reichel ♡ Hope that helped ^~^
steve boy look again! there’s some with at least a few or more ethnicities blended in! We call it chop suey! “Local” can include enthnocies from around the world- Europe, South America, Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines, southwest Asia and even Africa- as well as Asia and Polynesia.

Hermoso el folklor. De. Este lugar.. FELİCİDADES
Napua Grieg is a beautiful lady with a sweet voice that blends with her personality.
The one standard that Kamuela (Sam Naeole) required of his hula dancers were long hair. The tradition lives on.
laynie sammy n lilah just glue some weave in and keep it moving!
Too bad the koko is so diluted that most dancers have to curl their hair to look Polynesian.
I marched in the parade in Hilo when I was on my ship along with some other shipmates on the USS COCHRANE DDG-21 in 1977.
It's so relaxing to watch this!
They are my absolute favorite halau!!!!

I would really love to learn the Hawaiian language. Hawaiian girls are pretty and are really good dancers--and beautiful.
Lovely, and grand dancing ❤🎉
Absolutely beautiful. LOVE. Mahalo!
I like the chubby dancers best (male and female). They add so much more grace to the movements.
Full figure or Husky sounds better than "chubby"
So besutiful...wish I was there

Because everyone is beautiful 😀
BoyGorge Yes, they are.
Because it's not about the outside as much as it is the INSIDE...the beauty of HULA comes from within!!! *:D
“toothsome wenches”😂😂😂woman you know you’re wrong for saying that😂😂😂😂😂
Hawaiian views of beauty aren’t like the west. Decolonize ur beauty standards, folks.
