      Aww thanks Betty! Not a new idea; I think many of us have been making them like this for some time, but it's something I always come back to. I just love the look and feel of fabric on paper, and they turn out so cute! 😊💚

      Thanks Faye! No time to do anything meaty like a journal, so I have just been chopping and gluing and a bit of sewing. Nice easy stuff that I can stop and start working on without losing where I am up to lol 😊💚

      @BonnyAndClive  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hehe thanks Margaret; I really hate measuring too lol. I don't even make a template for poking the holes in the spine and signatures when making a journal. I just guesstimate, and funnily enough, the holes always line up pretty straight! 😄💚

    • @margaretbinks2595

      Bonny And Clive I don’t measure hole either!

    • @BonnyAndClive
      @BonnyAndClive  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yay I love that you don't measure for the holes either!; I thought I was the only one lol. I see so many channels trying so hard to measure the holes so that they perfectly line up, and sometimes I really want to remind them that they are junk journals and aren't meant to be perfect! lol 😄💚

    I love love love these envelopes. And I love watching your TH-cam channel because you make something out of whatever you have. And Heaven Knows being a quilter I have tons of fabric and being a junk journaler I have a whole bunch of book pages. I also have a sewing machine so I am going to make me some of these beauties. Thank you so much

      Thank you so much Judie! I love getting comments on older videos; it kind of acts like a reminder for me to make some more lol. Oh, being a quilter I bet you have sooooo many scraps! I use old clothing for fabric so I always end up with weird shaped scraps, seams, etc and I love the challenge of using it all up lol. I save all the buttons, zips, hooks etc aswell and come up with projects to use them aswell. There is a picture I posted yesterday on my TH-cam Community tab/page that I think you'll appreciate lol 😂💚

    These are absolutely fabulous, Bonny! I hope they sold well! I’m an old quilter, started in 1986! But haven’t quilted much since my divorce & move back to Kansas in 2004. So I have a huge collection to choose from! 🥰🤗I will have to push junk out of the way, but if I’m motivated that won’t be a problem! Haha! I recently bought some cotton fabric at Walmart (those of us who really aren’t too crazy about shopping there call it Wally’s World! I suspect you would be in that category!) But I bought it to use as half pockets on larger journal cards, etc. Then thought of some other thing to be entranced with & they got pushed aside…story of my life!! Another woman said she thought she had “journaler’s ADHD”, yep that’s me! I don’t think it’s all that uncommon among crafters, though! I’m enjoying your channel soooo much, you are just so much fun & I love your accent! In one video you said you lived in Sidney, are there different accents around the country? I mean you’re a continent! England is just one little bitty country & yet practically everybody I watch has a different accent! It’s really interesting to me how that happens. Are your eyes better now? I hope so! Take good care! Erica❤

    • @BonnyAndClive
      @BonnyAndClive  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am so happy you're enjoying my channel Erica! I wish I had more time to video. Hopefully this year I will find some more time! Oh quilters have the best fabric scraps! I mostly use old clothing or linens for fabric lol. I do have some 'real' fabric from my grandmother.. She was a great seamstress, knitter, crocheter etc. These little envelopes are great also for gift cards or giving money to nieces and nephews etc lol. Yes, I am in Sydney, Australia. We do have slight differences in accents between states, especially those that live in rural areas tend to have a thicker Aussie accent. We use alot of slang and Aussie 'lingo' so sometimes that's what makes us difficult to understand lol. For example, instead of saying "this afternoon", we would say "this arvo" lol. 😂💚

      I did have a giggle when I was watching one of your videos, can’t remember which one, but you were using a brown & white knit fabric that you said was an ugly dress that had been your grandmothers! She’s laughing from heaven!❤️

    • @BonnyAndClive
      @BonnyAndClive  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hahaha I do love those ugly flowery and strange patterned granny dresses lol. The dress as a whole looks ugly, but once it's cut down into smaller pieces, the patterns look so cool and funky. Our local charity store used to have a $1 rack and I loved picking up the ugly granny dresses off that rack. Not only do they have those funky patterns, but they also have those big beautiful vintage buttons on them! 😄💚

      Oh I found a different glue with a fine tip nozzle that is way cheaper than Art Glitter Glue! I'll try to remember to show it on my next video! 😊💚

    Love this idea! Are they sustajnable if only glued and not sewn down?

    • @BonnyAndClive
      @BonnyAndClive  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you Elizabeth! So happy you like them! I haven't tried any without sewing, but I think maybe if you used an iron on stabiliser fabric to fabric instead of paper, then glue the sides, it should work. Gluing on paper without sewing might also work if you use some Fray Stop on the fabric edges to stop it fraying.
      Have you considered buying a sewing machine? I just have a little cheap little Elna 2000 and it's great for crafting. I've had mine for years now and it's still going strong, even after sewing all sorts of crazy materials on it lol. I picked it up from Spotlight for $90 when they had one of their 50% off sewing machine sales. It's a basic mschine and super easy to use. And...so much fun! 🙂🩵💙

    Adorable, do you mind sharing how/if you sell and pricing?

      Hi Natalie! I don't mind sharing anything hehe. I do sell these in my Etsy shop (link is in the descriptiion box) and I priced them at AUD $18 for a pack of 10. So happy you like them! If you're thinking of making some fabric envelopes, there is also a video on my channel called Boho Fabric Envelopes that you might like aswell. Those already sold out but if you watch the video, they are really easy to make yourself aswell 😊💚💙

      Hi Jaydis! Hahaha I am glad there are others out there saving the threads too lol. I use them for all sorts of things here and there, but I'll try and do some videos soon showing a few things I regularly use them for 😊💚

    Can you tell me about using fabric from Joann’s or any fabric that has a copy right. Can we use these in items we sell?

    • @BonnyAndClive
      @BonnyAndClive  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Suzanne! So sorry, I can't really hep you with copy right as each country has their own rules, and I am sure America differs to Australia. Here, we are fine to sell what we make with the fabric, so long as we don't scan it and sell it digitally or copy the design etc, however, there are always some questions around Disney fabric etc! You'd be best to check with your Government body that administers copyright regulations, as the legalities around Copyright (and Trademarks) are quite complex. 💚

      Unfortunately I'm not much of a Facebook user lol. I log in now and then but must admit I am not much of a FB fan. Guess I will just have to get used to it. It's still quite new for me lol. 😄💚
