👀👀👀👀 My eyes popped out of my head when I saw all the tables/columns of numbers in that green book!!!!!!! I really wish I could find a book like that here to take home with me!!!!! Love it. I loved all the books you showed to us, but especially the numbers.
How thrilled I was to see the magazines called “The Play”. My grandmother left a box of them and I just recently looked at them more seriously. All the while, I thought of you and thought that you would like them just as I do. Kindred spirits. I hope to see how you use them in future projects.
The box looks like a safety deposit box. Very good selection of supplies. My favorites are the accounting papers wth the pink copy paper and the box. I love thrift shopping!
Can't believe I missed this one. Not keen on hauls but yours are so enjoyable. You always find the best books. Wow great price for album and cards love, love, love
I've learned my lesson, don't start commenting until you have finished Margreth's whole entire video because things just keep getting better, and better, with each minute of watching!!!!! OMG - the antique magazines, ledgers, and the cabinet cards! I want to go thrifting with you and your wonderful hubby! What treasures!!!
It is an old safety deposit box... Great find!!! Love all the books you and your husband found... Look forward to seeing more of your videos!!!❤️❤️❤️ Marcie Kemzuro Scott, Louisiana USA
Love everything you found. Lucky you. I especially would be thrilled with the book your husband found. I just love old advertisements. Hope to get some of this when you put them up for sale. I haven't made a journal yet but I am 'gathering" stuff and watching videos like mad. vintage 1942? Yep I'm vintage, born in '39 I will be 84 this year. Anyone else here as vintage as I am and still playing with paper?
Well, commented on your video too soon because I absolutely love the big "Supply and Demand" book and pages, too. I have never seen that magazine before now. The cover is so gorgeous. That metal box almost looks like a bank safety deposit box. You find the most interesting books and things.
OMG!!! What treasures you found, especially for JJ, The Play Magazines are incredible! I also can’t get over the Ledgers you found!! AMAZING!! I hope you are going to scan them and offer them in your store. I have never seen any of those in the US! The ledgers are incredible too! I hope you can get them all scanned soon. Then you showed the antique Photo Album. Even the pages in the album would be wonderful to use if you can figure out a way to scan them without damaging them. The Cabinet Cards are to die for!! I hope you will digitalization them for us to buy! This truly is the score of a lifetime!!! Thank you for sharing it with us. You are so special.
You sound so excited haha, must be heaven to have a husband who likes what you do and goes to op shops with you and also looks for things for you as well. Looks like the little mice had a little feast..bless em. Old in 1942.. vintage in the 50's, you make me feel vintage 😂😂. Such a great haul.
The book with your favourite numbers in is it maybe a ready reckoner ( not sure it I spelt that right) was a very early form of a calculator…….. perhaps. I have one and I love the number. I also acquired onE of the very first nursing magazines. The pages are so yellow and brittle but I love it. I also have one of those ammo boxes but certainly not that pretty. But your husband is right about it being an ammo box. Lovely finds Margreth.
The Play magazines were beautiful! You could take out the "guts" of the photo album and construct a box out of it with the cover being the lid. Tim would be pleased if you repurpose it to something useful and validating your price paid!😆😆 What a nice way to spend your birthday treasure hunting! 🥰🥰🥰
Margret I just love your ENTHUSIASM and I love everything you craft and I have you on my tele all the time whilst I craft and make journals. As I have run out of friends and family to give journals, notebooks etc to and as I have only been doing this for 2 years ish I now take them to a local Charity outlet. As I have millions of washi dollies I loved your idea of the folders to keep them in so now I have made 6 And lots of labels and ‘bits and bobs’ Please keep doing what you are doing Lovie ❤ Ann from Cheshire UK
Oh my goodness, Margreth, what awesome treasures you found !! 😲Good thing I am sitting alone watching this as I am embarrassingly drooling 😜😂 Thanks for sharing💕💕 Blessings~~~
Great finds! I totally get the book with all the advertisements. I have a huge Plant Production Directory from 1944. It has everything from industrial bearings, tools, other equipment. I have cut up some of it to make master boards. I love them!
The painted box us from a bank. A safety deposit box. I have several. They are wonderful for keeping long things inside. I keep some of my favorite jewelry pieces in my safe. All your finds are great!
Another incredible treasure haul! I recently won an auction of an antique photo book. It included 20 tintype photographs and 15 carte de visite’s. The small leather album is beautiful with a brass handle/lock and in wonderful condition, but the pages were another story. I paid $26 and was okay with the price. You are an expert treasure hunter!! Hugs from Ky, USA.
Omgoodness,Margreth!! You must scan, and make digital, and sell in Etsy. Please!!! These are ALL so lovely, and beautiful! I'm so hungry to get my hands on them!
wauw! wat een geweldig mooie spullen heb je gevonden! vooral die oude bladen , maar ook dat mooie boek vol advertenties. en dan nog een mooi fotoalbum met kabinetkaarten. echt een hele mooie vondst! lucky you! 😍😘😉
Love the green box! It surely looks like a safe deposit box the someone hand painted! I rarely find anything like you do at our local flea markets/antique shops but looking is half the fun!
Before using your beautiful pillow case you should put on copier and make copies of them and use them in your journal. I enjoy making copies of fabric so awesome and unique.
Wonderful finds.😍 The cabinet card from the salt mine in Berchtesgaden.❤️ We visited it a few years ago. And made a similar photo 😂 And the ledger books .. Always great treasures💕
Wow! You really lucked out and found some wonderful treasures. I live in Western Canada so there are not a a lot antique items and books around here and if one turned up, it would be very, very expensive. I don't know for sure but I had a grey metal box similar to that painted metal one you got and were wondering about and don't know what it's from. It's hard to see the size easily on a tablet or phone screen, but when I got it, it was newer and had index cards with paper dividers with tabs, that you could label. It had a small lock on the front. I bought it 2nd hand somewhere about 15 years ago and I'm not sure if I still have it around somewhere.
Margreth❣️ You are far from weird❣️ I bet all of us watching would love to have everything you showed us in this video.🤗💕🦋 P.S. I think you or your husband could be right about the tin box. 💖
Good Morning- and happy belated birthday!! Yes, I believe that is a bank deposit box. The nautical book with all the numbers is a great find! Will have to consider that for my next shop. Also, the vintage ad book is really cool for masculine cards. I am always looking for authentic Japanese items, tho am particular so as not to duplicate unless its a book - one to keep, one to create Ah hubby is a sweetie for sure - great day enjoying with hubby and thrifting. WTG sending hugs from Canada😸
I think the green box is a small 'Foot Locker' that soldiers would have either under the bed or at the foot of the bed to keep personal valuables. It looks similar to one my Grandfather had from the US/ Korean war.
Loved your find. I have two of the sewing needle packs from my sewing days that was a while back I’m 76 now so what I did took them to the coffee shop had them copied on both sides and enlarged a bit not too much but enough to make a junk journal in and since I don’t sell any of my journals, they are my prized possession. I don’t have to worry about copyright haven’t started the journal yet, but I am excited to see how it turns out love your channel.
I don't know if you've done anything with your antique photo album yet, but I have an idea what I would do with it if I'd found it in a shop. Way back when I was much younger, a few years before you were born, people around my age did a weird thing with old books. We would straighten out all the dog-eared pages, then draw a shape on the very first page after the title page. We'd carefully cut out the shape we'd drawn, then glue all the pages of the book together. When all the glue was dry, we would be left with what looked like a book, but it was really a treasure box. When you opened the cover of the photo album, the thought jumped into my head that you could glue all your pages together and have a 3 section treasure box/book. On second thought, maybe I'd just glue the top and bottom edges of each page, then slip a photo of something in between each page. It would be cool to see only parts of the image at a time & you could switch the photo around so that you'd see different parts of the photo. . .I've got a corky mind that doesn't operate on all cylinders most of the time. I like your treasure hauls!! You always have such interesting stuff!!
The painted box looks like a safety deposit box to me. I used to work in a bank. But love your treasures.
I love the ledgers! And the photo albums.

How lucky are we 😊😘👍🏻

As per usual I was right 🤣 it was a safety deposit box 👍🏻😊
Fantastic finds again.
How many lives do you have, Margaret, to use all this
😅🫢
🤔🤣😘
Thank you so much sweetheart 🥰

Ik van 1996 tot 2016 , 20 jaar 😲 das best lang 😘
Treasure.. I so understand!
☺️👍🏻😘
The box reminds me of Safe Deposit box from an old bank.
😘👍🏻
What a fabulous haul again. Your collection of cabinet cards is super impressive. And I loved the ledgers.
Thanks 😊
Wonderful finds❤ I would turn the album into a box ! You could enjoy the beauty of it and use it for a storage display piece.
Good idea 👍🏻😊
Good Morning- and happy belated birthday!! Yes, I believe that is a bank deposit box. The nautical book with all the numbers is a great find! Will have to consider that for my next shop. Also, the vintage ad book is really cool for masculine cards. I am always looking for authentic Japanese items, tho am particular so as not to duplicate unless its a book - one to keep, one to create Ah hubby is a sweetie for sure - great day enjoying with hubby and thrifting. WTG sending hugs from Canada😸
Thanks ☺️
WAUW!!! Ik moet toch echt eens een keertje naar Nederland, want zo’n dingen vind ik hier niet! 🤩🤩🤩
😊👍🏻😘
I think the green box is a small 'Foot Locker' that soldiers would have either under the bed or at the foot of the bed to keep personal valuables. It looks similar to one my Grandfather had from the US/ Korean war.
I think it’s a safety deposit box 😊👍🏻
Loved your find. I have two of the sewing needle packs from my sewing days that was a while back I’m 76 now so what I did took them to the coffee shop had them copied on both sides and enlarged a bit not too much but enough to make a junk journal in and since I don’t sell any of my journals, they are my prized possession. I don’t have to worry about copyright haven’t started the journal yet, but I am excited to see how it turns out love your channel.
Thanks Pat 👍🏻😘
It looks like a safety deposit box x
I think it is 👍🏻
I believe it is a safety deposit box from a bank. An ammo box would be deeper and the hinge would be at the edge rather than towards the middle.
Makes sense 🤔
Bonne annee is happy new year
It is 👍🏻😊
I don't know if you've done anything with your antique photo album yet, but I have an idea what I would do with it if I'd found it in a shop.
Sounds great 👍🏻😘
Oh wow, we have nothing like this in Tasmania Australia, i never find anything like it .
👍🏻😊
