Loved the show. One of my favorite detectives character played so wonderfully by Rufus. He was mesmerizing to watch in each and every scene of the show.
This weekend marks the 14th anniversary (posted Sunday January 5th 2025) of this underrated Italian (English language) set detective series that was originally shown on BBC1 It is a shame that ZEN, created by the late Michael Dibdin, adapted by Simon Burke and Peter Berry, didn’t get more seasons rather than “Death In Paradise”
hanknz01 Michael Dibdin the author and creator of Aurelio Zen only wrote 11 books as he died in March 2007. I'm guessing BBC cancelled due to the fact that they ran out of material. 😔
The series should have continued!! It was actually good.
That's exactly why I like Rufus as an actor. His portrayals of Zen, Lord M, come across as very honest.
i like to listen to him♥♥
Zen....?,you...
You??... My sweet LOVE 💔💔🌹 Rufus..

I also loved all the character actors around him. It gave the show teeth.
Why didn't they continue the series , I have read all the books .
