Nothing wrong with a 196 DB30S! I'm doing another torque converter install with a modded 196, suspension, hydraulic brakes and more on a Doodlebug right now. I'm running 420 chain 54/10t and will probably get similar results as far as top speed. Great little bikes!
Wow 45 mph with a 70 tooth it had to be doing 6500+ rpms. Awesome bro. Upgrade to a hydraulic brake so you can have better stopping power on that thing. Baja doodlebugs are awesome bikes. We have Baja warriors and we do a lot of street riding man it sure is fun passing people on these things 😂 just be safe bro
It's a stock colman 196 govner delete and header sold this for $300 and got this engine back with a trail horse frame for $240 and videos of it when I get parts for it

I think with your gearing yea about 45-50 depending on mods I did have this 196 on a moped for 2 short rides than sat so why not swap it for some fun
