What fun, All those stockings. I really enjoyed your video 😊
@@MoniMerel Thank you, Monica! Merry Christmas to you! 🎄
Hello Debbie, you are talented and oh so clever. These stockings are stunning! Your husband is also gifted with creative ingenuity. These are tremendous. Thank you for sharing the joy.
Thank you, Joann, and my husband thanks you! Hope you have a very Merry Christmas!🌲🎅 🌟
Your adaptations are fantastic! Loved seeing everything you’ve created. What a great collection!
Thank you, Sarah! I enjoyed your latest video too! --Deb
Wow wow wow. You are a pro stitcher. Gorgeous stitched stockings. You add and change designs
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed them. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment! --Deb
Love your stockings. Your adaptations are so imaginative and the fact that you have named them is so clever. I have made stockings for my grandchildren and they are their stockings at Grandma's house. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Donna! Thank you! I have a whole spreadsheet of names that I keep that are Christmas related just for using on stockings. I bet your Grandchildren treasure those stockings! Merry Christmas! --Deb
So many amazing stitched stockings! The pirate stocking gave me a chuckle 😂
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed watching! I like the pirates, too.
The Hygge Stitcher sent me your way to see all the Christmas Stockings. I love them all but the Pirates may be my favorites. So clever. I started a couple stockings about 30 years ago that I never finished. Actually didn't like them that well, but it was about all I could find. And I'm getting ready to start a Shepherd's Bush. I think your stitching plan is fabulous. Happy stitching.
Thanks so much, Susan! I appreciate you letting me know Samatha sent you my way. Glad you're here! I love the pirates, too. I can't figure out why the video where I featured them is one of my least watched because they are some of my favorites. There really has been an explosion in choice. Back in the day, you stitched the only few options available. I haven't done a Shepherd's Bush yet. I bet you'll have fun with that. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment! --Deb
Oh my word!! Such a collection of lovely stockings
Thank you so much! Hope you have a very Merry Christmas! --Deb
The peg-leg pirate stocking! 😂
Thanks, Joanna! I like that one too! --Deb
What a treasure trove of Christmas fun! Thank you so much for sharing!❤
Thanks so much, Barbara! It's fun to share it with others. Merry Christmas! --Deb
I love how you adapt and add and reshape to suit your vision.
Thank you, Emjay! I always enjoy your IG posts.
Lovely, lovely, lovely. You are so creative.
Thank you so much, Christine!
The lamp behind you is gorgeous.
Thanks. It's a stained glass case that lights up. Inside I put a Christmas angel tree topper that also lights up. Someone was selling it on Craigslist, and I just love it!
I had to watch this twice. What fun! What a clever idea to turn all these charts into stockings . I admire your creativity and sense of humor. Happy Holidays to you.
Thank you for watching, not once, but twice! Hope you have a Merry Christmas, Beth! --Deb
Wow. Those (Lavender and Lace) stockings are gorgeous.
Thank you so much! I appreciate it!
Wow!! Your stockings are amazing. I can’t believe you hand stitch them. The scariest part for me is using the sewing machine. I can do all the cutting and pinning. But pressing that pedal and moving the stocking is so nerve wrecking. I really enjoy your videos and the thoughtfulness you put into them. Thank you and happy stitching.
I'm with you on the machine sewing. I did one not too long ago, when I was going to attempt a lining. I got the outside done but never finished putting in the lining. I'd like to get better at it, but it doesn't take that long to do by hand and I feel more in control. I have a tutorial on my channel on hand sewing the backing if you're interested in how I do it. Thanks! --Deb
Awesome stocking parade! I love a glimpse of your creative world and the fantastic collection. The raccoons on the chimney stocking is the best with all the specialty stitches. That cranberry and popcorn garland is incredible - did you say these stitches are all french knots?! As always, you are so entertaining and inspiring. Thanks, Deb!
Thank you, Carol! I'm having fun with the raccoons. The popcorn is done with french knots. I'm using perle cotton, which has more bulk, so it fills the space up fast. Plus, because it's popcorn, the knots can be kind of haphazard and messy. I can do messy French knots all day long. Unfortunately, I've noticed I'm getting better at them after doing so many. They're starting to look more orderly than I would like compared to the first ones I did. Thanks for tuning in again! --Deb
Beautiful stockings, amazing! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you, Judith! I appreciate you taking the time to watch and leave a note! Merry Christmas! --Deb
Loved them all. They are beautiful!
Thank you so much! --Deb
YOU….are an amazing prolific creative genius! I love them all, so beautiful, a very treasured collection. Happy Holidays to you & yours!!
Thank you so much for your kind comments, Wendy! Hope your holidays are very happy ones too! --Deb
So many wonderful Christmas stockings. Each are unique and well designed. You definitely are very creative and you have demonstrated that you can make a stocking out of any cross stitch design. 😊
Thanks so much, Sabrina! I can't not see stockings in most designs! Happy holidays! --Deb
I loved this viewing every bit as much as the first time and I'm still in awe! Hail to the Stocking Master!! LOL!! Your Grinch and Max stockings brought back a fond memory. You may or may not know/remember, but I'm a retired elementary school teacher (5th grade mostly). At Christmas, I loved to show the original Grinch cartoon movie, but I had to tie it in to the curriculum somehow. So, one year I focused on characterization and told the children to watch it all carefully but to really focus on the expressions on Max's face. It was amazing at the comments they made and how they almost all agreed that just that focus made the show even more fun. So - if you've never done that, give it a go next time you watch it. You may have a whole new appreciation for that sweet dog. He should have been nominated for an academy award in my humble opinion. Steph xx
What a great story! Thanks for sharing it with me. I wholeheartedly agree with you. The Grinch my favorite show to watch at Christmas and Max is the reason why. That grin he has while he's riding on the sleigh for the split second before The Grinch figures it out and pulls him off is pure joy. Have a Merry Christmas, Steph!
@@thetravelingstockingstitcher Thanks, Deb. You, too. 🎅
You are so talented! What a wonderful stocking parade. Beautiful, beautiful work! Merry Christmas. 🌲
Thank you, Debbie! I appreciate that! Hope you have a very Merry Christmas!
Awesome! Wow!
Thanks, Jannie! Glad you enjoyed it and took the time to comment! --Deb
Thabk you for sharing them all together. They are all amazing!
Thank you, Emmy Rose! I enjoyed showing them! --Deb
Love seeing your collection! I can’t believe that guy sold you that for $1. I wonder what his wife said when she found out. 🤣
Thanks Joanne. I did hightail it out of there with that stocking for a buck. Maybe "David" was her ex-husband and she would have given it away for free.
That was awesome! I am interested in doing my first stocking this year.
Thanks, Charlene! Do you have a stocking picked out? Feel free to let me know if you have any questions. I'd be more than happy to help with any advice from my experience. Thanks for watching and leaving such a nice comment! --Deb
@@thetravelingstockingstitcher I looked at stockings all weekend to try to decide but could not pick one. I did decide to do a small stocking ornament for my first. How much extra fabric do you leave around for finishing?
@sugarplumstitcher I don't leave a lot because you only need the seam allowance, which is probably 1/2 an inch. (I don't sew, so I'm not sure what is typical.) However, with that being said, you might want to leave more just in case since it's your first one and to account for fraying, etc. You can always cut some off but can't add more on. 😄 At the top you need more than around the sides, at least the way I construct them. I fold the top over twice and hem it up. I think people who really know how to sew on a machine do it differently. Starting with an ornament makes sense for your first one. Good luck!
Seeing your stockings up close is so cool! I didn't realize how sparkly the Marbek angels were. They're quite amazing! I stitched two Marbeks - Angel of Spring and Angel of Winter maybe? I forget their names. One was pink; one was green. They had some sparkle, but not like your stockings. Where did you find the fabric with the gold stars? It was nice of you to save the stitch, too. I'm sure I'll be in contact on IG, but I'll wish you an early Merry Christmas. 🎄
Hi Wendy! You really do need to wear sunglasses around some of those Mar-Bek Angels. I know the pink and green ones you're talking about. I have the whole collection of charts. Maybe Windemere and Woodland? I got the fabric printed with the gold stars from the DoveStitchDotCom Etsy shop. It's called Watercolor Dreams on Blue with Gold Sparkles. It's a 32 count evenweave. Hope you have a very Merry Christmas too!
@@thetravelingstockingstitcher Yes! Windermere and Woodland! It's been a long while since I've browsed fabrics. I'll have to look at Dove Stitch and see what's new. I hadn't seen that one in the past.
I am in awe! You are amazing!! The stockings are all so beautiful ❤️ what fabric did you use for the Mar-bek Serenade angel stocking..it's red but what specifically..if you don't mind sharing that is..I'm the worst at picking out fabric
Hi Angela! Thanks so much! I'm not great at fabric color choice either. On the Mar-Bek Angels, I used the colors they used on the cover art. What was weird is that the sizes of the angels are different. I had to do them on different counts to get them to end up the same size. It took a long time to find a green I liked, which happened to be a 16 count, so that meant I had to do the other two smaller ones on 14 count. I just used some Christmas Red and Royal Blue mystery aida from stash for those two. In retrospect, I wish I would have kept looking for an 18 count green so I could do the other two on 16 count because they are huge. I also modified the outline of the stockings a bit because the toe pointed down below the heel, making them even longer. Hope that helps! --Deb
Where can I find the Rudolph and Clarice patterns? LOVE at first sight!
Hi! Unfortunately I can't find the pattern online for Rudolph and Clarice anywhere any more. I would have offered you my copy, but I literally just dropped it in the mail yesterday to someone who saw it on my channel and couldn't find it either. I bought it on Amazon from a company called Sweethome Christmas, but it's not on there anymore. The copy I ordered from them had the website stitchDMC.com on it, but it doesn't have that pattern available either now. Sorry I couldn't help. Thanks for watching! --Deb
@@thetravelingstockingstitcher i emailed the company and they sent me the pdf! How kind is that! I asked if I can share it so I will let you know.
@@stitchingpaws So cool! I'm amazed they did that. Thanks for letting me know!
I sent you a message on IG that I can send you the conversion I did to do Clarice from the Rudolph design if you want it.
