- Replacing a convertible top on a 2005 New Beetle.
This will be similar for several model years of that same generation.
The new roof was purchased online and was one of the lowest cost found.

Good video. I just replaced mine. How did you attach the headliner to the back window? Mine doesn't have a channel at the top or bottom either.
@mdcampbell14 We never did get the headliner attached to the back window. It just hangs loose. That's been the only big issue I can think of though.

Hey - thanks for the video. I am needing to this to my daughters bug. Where did you get the top? Since it's been a few months, still good? Thanks again.
Yes, it is still holding up good. I was afraid because of the amount of stretching it needed, but it has not ripped, and the top is able to be put up and down with no issues. My daughter got it from Ebay. The only issue is something with the inner fabric for the rear window is loose.

We bought it on Ebay. It is still holding up just fine.
