Masks will not prevent infection, transmission nor will they prevent long covid. If it makes someone feel better they should be free to wear a mask but not impose them on others. Just as experimental medical interventions should also not be enforced on others with the goal of protecting oneself. I don’t care who does and doesn’t wear a mask.. but I do think it’s silly to require all gov. Offices to be mandated to still provide masks- or to require all county health facilities to have a mask mandate.. which is what she’s arguing for. She pretty much is always seen in public with a mask, which is fine, her prerogative. She can wear a mask until she’s 100 if she wants.
I actually think the mask ban was brought into conversation over some violent protests where lapd and feds can’t identify people because their faces are covered. I don’t think it’s about covid at all- which is why I was confused by her entire spiel and thought it was old. 😂 NY proposed a mask ban in the subways- because criminals are using them to get away with their crimes- although - they’ve also included a provision for those who want to wear an actual mask for their health. Chicago has had one proposed as well for the same reason- to identify criminals.

She is 18! In my opinion, this level of paranoia should have gotten her parents attention to GET HER HELP! The way she went on & on sounded like a commercial for victimhood & minority outreach! Ive seen her in photos recently, always with a mask that can be extremely hazardous. N-95 masks actually are the only ones that work at all, & they can be very hard on people's health as well. This type of paranoia can be quite serious, so why is she at a town meeting & not a psych appointment?
