Die Feuerwehr Mülheim an der Ruhr kann man als meine liebste Berufsfeuerwehr in Deutschland bezeichnen. Es gibt auch andere Berufsfeuerwehren, die mir besser gefallen. Ich hoffe, Sie können mehr Videos mitbringen.

Thank you very much! This is because German and European cities are structured very differently from most American cities. They are much more compact and urban, so that you can reach large parts of the city with a central fire station. It is also due to the organizational structure of the fire department. The FDNY, for example, has dozens of companies, which are spread out over many small fire stations across the equally densely populated urban area. In Germany, fire departments are organized as a whole; the vehicles do not represent a separate company to the same extent as in America. It is more cost-effective to bundle personnel and material at a central location than to maintain a large number of small fire stations.
