So according to Atlas DB, Lanling gets an invisible 20% defense up on his 2nd bar and an invisible defense ignore buff on his last bar. They haven't done stuff like this often, the last time to my recollection is Old Man Li in LB 3 having an invisible NP regen buff you could remove.
I don't think it's invisible, it probably in his blue clock debuff or crit buff. Just the icon is misleading, but if you read his buffs' descriptions it will be mentioned.
Had a good time with this fight. I wish the Gilles Monster fight hadn’t shortchanged us, but I’ll take this as the first proper fight of the “singularity”.

This is why he's referred to ingame as Gao Changgong. Sort of like how "Gilles" is only ever referred to in this singularity as Bluebeard. He's just the Bluebeard parts, he's not the whole Gilles.

I just beat this fight with story support kama feelsgoodman. First healthbar with Izo, Shining hand and the newest 3 star arts support. Second healthbar with Story Kama and Bond CE George and the last healtbar with one np from Story Kama(which only did like 60k lmao) and the rest was soloed by my lvl 90 Hundred face(she was able to loop her np 3 times in row and just destroyed lanling lmao). 😊
