If there were no Pahlavi dynasty...Iran would end up like afghanestan. The Shah brought our persian pride back from sand. Now I'm not saying he was all good, he did bad things to protect Iran from the communists (remeber USSR? they wanted a communist Iran to get hands on the Persian gulf) so Iran would be protected and not be considered threat to America (remember the Cold War?) It were hard times in the world. But back then Iran had pride and respect from the world. All thanks to Shah.

The end of the Shah's reign was such a tragedy. When he was overthrown, the world lost one of the greatest leaders in history.

I`m not Iranian, but as far as I know the Pahlavi family transform Iran in a power and modern country, but some didn´t like it!
