I lost everything, I had a home and I built my furniture, I am a double major, and second major is art, I had tools, paint, you name it, tools for furniture, I could not save it, didn’t have the money to put in storage, I asked for help, nobody answered but, the sun shine in that moment of darkness and I found a job and was able to rent an apartment and only brought the necessary things to fit in a one bedroom apartment. I can understand how it’s been difficult for you. The sun will shine and the darkness will fade away. ❤ from the East Coast Of 🇺🇸

Within months everyone else from her class (all got lower grades) had jobs in that field, no one would hire her because they *Assumed* she'd expect more money. Over 2 years later the economy tanked (2009) and the hardware store she worked at closed. By that time she already stopped talking with her nagging BS family so she left the city with only a backpack and just lost touch with afterwards.

Even in the U.S., the limitation of transportation for homeless has a significant affect on their life and their chance of getting out of homelessness. Love the usual Coke apology in the captions! Oh, I think all of us know what flying-sleep-deprivation is like. So sorry you had to go through that! My worse sleep deprivation was on a local train in August 1999 from Siena, Italy, to Heidelberg, Germany (I booked late and all the good Eurostar trains were booked, so I had to take a local): the seat you sit on and the one across from you pull down to make a bed, but there is a big gap between them where your butt has no support...I ended up sitting up and half-sleeping, freezing because I was in shorts and shirt from Italy and hadn't thought about going through the colder Alps (I had a tiny purple laundry bag - the only thing I could use - sort of wrapped around my upper body), and thus was running to the bathroom every couple of hours. When I arrived, I dove under the down comforter and slept for hours, then showered and went out in the afternoon, buying a sweatshirt before anything else (sometimes it was in the 60s Farenheit in Heidelberg). But it makes a great story.
Can not wait for Moped Nomad content, caught the live the other day and being able to bring a little more gear is going to make your adventures even more fulfilling. As one of my other favorite TH-camrs says Hunker Down. Good luck and hope this moped is as amazing for you as you hope it is.

Just came back from a short vacation in Osaka, my 3rd time visiting Japan. It was hot as balls! Had a fantastic time again though. Watching your videos just makes me want to go back.

Missed it live, but watched the whole thing later that day. Service Maida-San (I'm sure I have spelled it wrong... sorry) was awesome to help you like this. Moped-San will help so much. I wish you well on getting used to driving it. I hope the Japanese people look out for motorcycles (and mopeds) on the roads better than Americans do! I find it interesting the difference in what we call "mainland" in the US, and what you call it in Japan. It's interesting that the separate islands are still considered as mainland Japan. We are Nomad-Sans! Over 117K strong!!! 💪😎
I wouldn't worry about a fishing rod as much, but rather get some motorbike riding clothes that will keep you warm and dry when you have to ride in the rain, and in colder weather. Maybe an emergency storm shelter would cover your bike in the rain and it is light and small to carry.
Sugoiii! If you go to Okinawa on the scooter, check out the north of the main island. I spent a week there last year and took my rental scooter out each day to explore. Such beautiful roads to ride on, and beautiful scenery. There is not much traffic after you get out of Naha as well, so it would be good if you're still not too confident on the bike
