- A coaster where you lose your orientation in a checkerboard patterned box - the 'ol m00nkinftw format in a new skin. This is for all my nostalgic RCT3 peeps who watched Moby's Steel Jungle-supported extended coasters with Drowning Pool in the background :)

I had to sign in to my old account cause this was just too cool to see! Thank you very much for remastering a funky little idea I had that I had turned out to be a running thing within the RCT3 community. I never thought that concept would spawn so many remakes, and seeing one made by you on Planet Coaster was just the cherry on top of the cake. Thanks again to you and anyone else who kept 'The Box' series going for so long! Also big fan of your videos, been watching them for a while on my newer account :)
Wow, never expected you to show up here! I'm honored. Huge thanks for all your RCT3 videos, which undoubtedly helped bring the game to a new audience and pushed the custom content community to new heights - they definitely were a big part of what drew me to RCT3.

Mission accomplished...completely disoriented in the cinematics.
I wasn't sure how convincing the effect would be...
Until all of a sudden we reach the top of the lift hill and I already don't know which way is up!
Having the supports attached to the walls and ceiling really sold the effect!
You can ride the box irl. You only need two things:
1. Drugs
2. A poor fantasy
3. Roddy Ricch

I can see Alton towers doing something like this. It fits the eerie theme and it can be kept below the tree line. It would fit so well

I feel really really sorry for those that have missed that majestic piece of an RCT3 creation.

This gives me mad King's Dominion vibes... Flight of fear has the same feel to it.
I was hoping someone would say this. The first few seconds after launch until you come out of the immelman are filled with so much positive Gs that it is hard to tell which way is up. It really is a hidden gem if you like that disorientation.

I remember myself. A 7 yo boy watching the box rct3 on my dads old windows pc....This gave me nostalgic feelings!

It’s been years, but when I was 10ish I went to Disney World, and I remember losing track of up and down on rock ‘n’ roller coaster. It’s super disorientating and is a whole new experience compared to a normal coaster.
unlocked some of the deepest memories in my brain right here, went back and rewatched like 12 of “the box” videos in rct3. i’ve always wanted to see something like this that is more “realistic” and this is incredible. well done as always Silv!

I used to watch "The Box" videos a lot when I was younger.
Then I tried to build it myself, and I failed miserably!
I sucked at RCT3 and I didn't have the patience to build it all.
All of my RCT3 parks have a checker tiled floor somewhere, because of all the failed attempts.
The only improvement would be to add the checkerboard pattern everywhere, including the station house, mid course brake run, and end brake run.
can we have more PlanCo mini projects like this one?

Geweldig hoe je dit in elkaar hebt gezet en een mooie layout. Ik was verbaasd hoe je het voor elkaar kreeg om toch nog een redelijk lange layout te maken in een krappe ruimte. Goed werk!

Oh man the nostalgia, I remember watching the original video soooo long ago...
What I would do to reduce the non existent sense of direction on this ride even further. Launch upside down (loop feels like a curve with constant speed) and have the lights on the floor off until you are upside down, making you think the wrong way it the way up.
How do you create those supports for the walls? I’m new at PlanCo and idk how to make a box or enclosed building 😕

how can you invert a spinning coaster
Try disabling track limits in Settings -> Game -> Scroll to bottom -> *Disable Track Limits* or you can download mods from the PlanCo Discord server
Omg the classic RCT3 coaster remake!! I copied it once, absolute goldmine. You did a good a good job on the Planet Coaster counterpart. I believe the classic was a stop-and-launch advanced coaster though.

BTW have you heard of (or tried) Fluch der Kassandra in Europa Park? You should look it up on YT if you haven't it's such a cool flat ride (I don't know if there are other versions of it?). It's incredibly disorienting but not vomit inducing at all so I love to recommend it to anyone who goes to EP ^^
I would theme the ride simply by making the main box all black from the outside ("monolith from 2001" feel), and then just add some details to the concrete parts.
That's my snobbish way of saying this ride is close to perfection. It really doesn't need much to feel totally polished.
This is awesome, it reminds me of some of the stuff Pixelated made a few years ago. Now we need to see you do this with a tetrahedron or a sphere, that would be pretty cool!

If you look at Runaway Mountain at Six Flags Over Texas, it pretty much is a box coaster. No inversions but in a box none the less.
I didnt actually like this video. It made me nauseas from the beginning. But I subbed because you are meticulous and create thought provoking rides.
How do you get your supports to touch your coaster? Mine always shows red and can't connect them to it, I can get them close but not touching. Please help newbie:)

wow i was loving the timelapse and how much thought you put into building this coaster. However, shortly after the pov came on i got so overwhelmed with motion sickness that i vomited. This has never happened to me before..
I literally had the same concept like a year ago just with special effects added but I’ve never been good at theming I usually just try to do realistic coasters with no theming and so the concept kind of fell through because I didn’t wanna theme it
No way would I ride that, love conventional indoor rollercoasters but this would make me sick for weeks! 😂

The ride is so cool! The things I think you can improve in are the transitions and the spiral, in the spiral cinematic, I noticed the dummy's heads were hitting eachother so make the spiral a bit bigger, for the transitions, I noticed it was not smooth, so I suggest smoothing out the track that is before a transition.
There is a coaster like this called X at thorpe Park until it was taken down 2 yrs ago but it was in a triangular prism instead and had lazer paths to fake where you were going it was pretty cool...

Fun fact I got grounded for watching a Box video with Smack My Bitch Up by The Prodigy playing in the background. I later found out that my dad had no say in the matter because he loves The Prodigy. Thanks mom.
It's ironic, because the video of Smack My Bitch Up despite themes of sexual violence actually sends a politically incorrect but empowering LGBTQ message :) I love the reveal at the end.

I have a pretty good sense of direction but the spinning made me lose all points of reference to track, lost orientation in the first 10 seconds.
It even reminds me of The Smiler but if it was black and white and a spinning coaster
