Tried using aluminum hard tubing with some bulkhead PTC fittings, almost all of them leaked. Used a debur and chamfer tool on the ends and even swapped over to compression fittings and they leak (slow) as well. Not sure what the issue is, with the nylon tubing I had no problems, but had nothing but issues trying to make this aluminum work.
That's odd, I've seen some poor quality Aluminum tubing that isn't perfectly round or that gets out of shape when running it through a straightener. Did you buy rolled tube or straight sticks ? If rolled, how did you straighten it ?

They were straight 3’ sections; pulled it all off the car to sell it, so no longer an issue
