DELICIOUS Pan Fried Miso Pork Belly Recipe | I COOK 4 U

  • This miso marinated pork belly is incredibly addictive. Served with cabbage, spring onions and steam rice. Delicious!
    INGREDIENTS:
    - 500 g pork belly without skin, cut into 4-5 cm long pieces
    - 1-2 stalk green onions, finely cut into 4-5 cm long pieces
    - 1/4 cabbage, finely cut
    MARINADE FOR PORK BELLY :
    - 1 tbsp miso
    - 2 tbsp soy sauce
    - 1 tbsp sake (Japanese rice wine)
    - 1 tbsp grated ginger
    - 1-2 tbsp brown sugar
    - 5 cloves garlic, cut in half
    - 1/4 cabbage, finely cut
    - oil for frying
    - some water
    INSTRUCTIONS:
    First, we make the marinade mixture for the pork belly. Squeeze the juice out of the grated ginger and mix the miso, mirin, sake, soy sauce and sugar together. Add some water and mix well.
    Then add the sliced pork belly. Flip it and coat it with the marinade mixture. Mix with your hand until everything is well combined, then set aside.
    Slice all vegetables you need.
    In a preheated wok/ pan add 2-3 tbsp oil and garlic. Sauté until lightly brown and set aside.
    In the same wok, sauté sliced onions until lightly caramelized. Add the garlic and mix them together, then set aside for a while.
    Preheat another skillet on medium and add 2 tbsp oil.
    Place the marinated pork belly into the pan and cook for 3-5 minutes or until lightly brown. Flip them on the other side and cook for another 1-2 minutes .
    Mix the pork belly with the onions and garlic. Smells incredible!
    Put some cabbage on the plate. Add miso pork belly, garnish with green onions on the top. Then the Pan Fried Miso Pork Belly is ready to serve…yummy !!!
