I love how you don’t the traditional way and just do your own thing. I’m super new to the djembe so thank you for reminding me that I don’t have to follow all of the rules
Amazing to read this 😊
Yes indeed, my videos tend to resonate with people just starting with the djembe. It's those modern beats, I tell ya 😉
(and attention to detail when it comes to technique 🧐)
It’s a great inspiration. You play with amazing feeling. Thnx. Keep it up!!!
Thanks so much ♥️
you really love your mutes
Very impressive!
Wow these were absolutely amazing! I am thinking of getting myself a djembe jr by meinl to play along with my harmonica as an extra percussion instrument do you think this would be good idea? Or cool idea? I really enjoyed the examples you showed I am wondering if there is stuff likethis that could work with blues maybe? Even one handed?
Thanks! Meinl sure does make some pretty good djembes, too. I've played acoustic rock music live shows and had blues songs that I played with a djembe - definitely possible! One handed? Yeah, with your main hand (right, for me) also possible to play most of the strokes necessary.
Hello .The D Jumbay Master .I Would like a nice D Jumbay Drum Any Stores U Can Recommend. THANKS.GOD,BLESS.U.
I like it
Wow very nice sir
I have such a craving to drum my Djembe to a campfire guitarist and singer. Good ole' fashioned campfire music ! Ohio, lets do it.
Amazing ✨
Very nice techniques!
Hello sir, i want to learn djembe drum with you. So please upload to next video how to play?
Been playing 5 years and still continuing to learn how to accompany. Thanks. Does one first need to learn bongos/congos to perform those finger rolls?
Nope - just start today and enjoy the ride 🙂
МОЛОДЕЦ
УМНИЧКА👍
What are some practices we can do to practice our fingers for more modern rhythms?
So cool!
Very nice 👍🏼 ❤
Thanks 😏
Fantastic
Very nice techniques, however as a beginner would have been nice to see these in slow motion
How can one play the djembe to a heavier guitar song, like a metal, punk or thrash piece, which has more complex beats?
Firstly, should play with microphones. I've done some of that - djembe with acoustic and electric guitars (metal covers). Secondly, get a course from djembemaster.com - all the basic beats that I've used to play along to songs. And if you have already good skills - then check out the Advanced Djembe Masterclass
Make sure to have mics, hear yourselft well, have other musicians not be to loud, play simple beats (or advanced) - gotta accept that it's going to sound quite different if not played with a drum kit :)
Do you have videos playing the drums?
Coming up this month. Making preparations in the studio
Very nice
Thanks! ✨
❤
How is it possible to play like that? Woow
Aww, Thanks 😌
Super! 👍
What djembe is that?
It's a 14-inch Remo djembe.
You are awesome.... I'm a beginner.... would love to learn to play as wonderful as u!
@@melmerized Thanks! Keep at it - every beginning can be quite bumpy and still - it leads to wonderful results ♥️
